Hey, I just wanted to ask if the torch holder bugfix mod is compatible with HDRP mod. Or does HDRP mod already resolves this problem and the bugfix is only for those who didn't use the mod. Thank you for replying.
Surprisingly, HDRP or more recent mod contains the Torch holder fix. This fix is only for 1.30 or below version. (Because people kept to this version, don't ask me why).
Hey, just want to let you know that what causes the bandit arm bug is the .w2mesh files and not the textures, so you can still use the HDRP textures and have the bug fixed. Test it yourself if you want and update the mod. The vanilla textures, specially the normal map, are terrible.
Ah, that is great news! Thanks for testing it. I will try to do a test on my side as soon as possible and then upload the .w2mesh files only. I agree, the vanilla normal map is terrible. You can especially see it up close with Louis, the guy who betrays Letho.
Hello mate, great work! I'm back to The Witcher 3 and I'm glad to see some of the remaining bugs in my load order have been fixed even if the mods have not been updated (this, true fires, lip movement). I reported another HDRP inconsistency back in 2020 and if you have the time and will could you look at it? I don't know if it's as simple as replacing it with the vanilla textures, but it might be. Some of the wood textures are misaligned:

In this case it's in Graham's house, from the quest A Towerful of Mice, however I've encountered this elsewhere. It seems like there are two textures that don't align on the same surface. Even if you cannot I appreciate your efforts anyway, thanks!
I'm sorry, I fail to see the texture issue you are referring to, in the picture link. In any case, if it is a texture issue only in that one hut, I won't be able to fix it.
Hey my man Unfortunately your latest update does not work properly, i encountered some bugged bandits while doing ''Wine Wars: Belgaard'' (during the rescue of the captured NPC)
The original version (v 1.0) is the only one currently available for download. This one has a proven track record.
@kingofbadass I had briefly experimented with a trimmed down version (v 1.1), which removed some of the arm texture versions that I considered redundant, as in my experience only 1 of the 3 texture versions was actually bugged (the one used by the bandit in the mod picture). I had never noticed bugged bandits using the other texture versions. Antonaros reported though that v 1.1 did in fact have issues, so I removed it and restored the original v 1.0. Unfortunately bandit models are randomly selected during encounters, so two different players might see two different sets of bandits in any given encounter, which is why properly testing mods like these can be very tricky and time consuming. For example, before releasing v 1.1, I had played through 4 bandit encounters (including at least one big one - Mount Crane) and yet I encountered no bugs.
@Antonaros1999, I am actually curious as to which bandit you found was bugged in v 1.1. Could you perhaps send me a picture, so I can do some testing on my side?
Hey my man I would love to send you some pics but i can't anymore, i'm way past it by now BUT, it's easy to check them yourself if you have a save, it's in the quest ''Wine Wars: Belgaard'', it's the mark located to the far east of the map where some bandits have captured Belgaard's blacksmith (it's near a place of power and the location of GM Wolf Gear). And yes, for the record, it's the one bandit you have in the pics of the mod
Ah ok, if it's the same bandit as in my pic, that answers my question, thanks! I must say I'm surprised though, as I specifically tested this particular bandit with v 1.1 and I did not encounter him as bugged.
PS: Please remember that encounters use randomly selected bandits, so the set of bandits that you see in that Belgaard quest location, will not necessarily be the same set that I would get. Selection is done when you approach close enough to the location, so if you do have a save in close proximity to the location, you will always get the same bandit set. If you approach the same location from a longer distance, or at another time, you might get a completely different set of bandits. The bandit pool is not very big though, so after about 3-4 encounters you stand a high chance of having encountered all the bandits in the pool.
Yes it's weird indeed because I too encountered previously that bandit and he was not bugged with your mod (well the original version) but this specific one was. And I encountered him again with the current one and he was fine, that's why I believed your previous version did not work properly
If the mod is put in the right folder ...\The Witcher 3\Mods and you use no other texture mods for Vivaldi, there is no reason why it shouldn't work.
If you do have other texture mods, make sure that this mod loads first, by adding the an underscore "_", "a", or "aa" into the file name, e.g. mod_VimmeVivaldiTextureFix or modaVimmeVivaldiTextureFix or modaaVimmeVivaldiTextureFix, to make sure it loads before other mods.
If this doesn't work, I would strongly recommend getting the Blood and Wine DLC.
Hey my man About HDPR bugs, i have noticed that in some Velen villages (for example in the one where Nillen for ''Wild at Heart'' lives) fence torches are bugged if you are willing of course, Could you take a look at it
Hey Antonaros, I checked it out and I see no obvious issues on my side. To be honest, character texture issues are more my thing. Fixing world decorations is not something I have any experience with, unfortunately. By trying to change any textures of these kind, that are used all over the Witcher world, I am likely to create more problems than I fix.
Lol, I just accidentally stumbled upon the textures for torch holders and made a quick mod. Please try it out - but be warned, this will affect torch holders in the whole W3WH world. Please let me know if it works. It's my first try with importing non-character textures.
Hey mate Sorry for taking me so long to answer you, i installed your fix and travelled a bit in Velen, everything seems perfect now, even the torch-fences in Blackbough, that was it's fricking name, where i noticed the problem in the first place are displayed perfectly now Thank you!!!
hello sir can you please make a fix too for Vimme Vivaldi of Novigrad Bank. he is missing forearms or he's inner body in some of xbox, pc players and mine too.
I tried disabling all my texture mods but still it is there... but can you still upload a version of vimme vivaldi too or just a retexture of him ? for sure many people will download the mod...
The question is retexture to what? I can upload Vimme's file, using the original vanilla textures, but that's the only option. If you give this mod priority over other mods, it will force the game to use the vanilla textures, basically overriding any of your mods that try to change it. Frankly it is a rather roundabout way to fix the problem, but if you want that, I'll be happy to oblige. The best solution is still to find out which mod is breaking his textures.
OMFG it is fixed!!!! thank you so much sir!! there is no invisible forearms now!!!! you also fixed the blur loading whenever I talk to npc in the Heirarch square.. i think blur loading occurs because of Vivaldi's forearms is invisible and the game is still rendering and can't find the texture thats why there is a loading in npcs in that area! Thank you very much for the fix, sir, and for your wonderful heart!! Kudos + endorsed & vote!
I did some research on this bug and apparently it is a vanilla game bug that was fixed with the Blood and Wine DLC, so I presume you don't have this DLC, right?
Halk will defintely make an update my friend, he has posted a demostration video in the comments page long after he was contacted by CDPR, the only question is how long it will take him to release the update
