Tip If you absolutely hate the hood, like me, and don't want to ever see it's ugliness again, don't install the DLC part, and delete the scripts from the mod part. Then install and use as a replacer. No more hideous hood, no extra scripts you don't need. Obviously, no need for keybindings or changing your input.xml.
Dude. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm thinking of starting a new playthrough, and I remembered this was a mod that came out. And while I respect and understand what the author was doing by making it toggleable...I just prefer it with the hood gone for good. No keybindings or any of that. You are a genius, and a scholar! You just made this mod a hundred times better!!
Great mod. I wish someone could finally disconnect the cat collar from the chin. I just can't take all the weird deformations when Geralt turns his head. Ah well...
Wish somebody can merge the master crafted feline collar to replace the grandmaster collar. The master crafted really looked good with Geralt's loose hair resting on the collar from the back.
So I downloaded that mod you talked about via your link: https://anonymshare.com/rpNr/modcatlvl5removedangling.zip but wasn't able to get it to work to remove the tassets (the dangly bits) no matter how I set the priority, be it to load before or after the hood removal mod. Can you please tell me what I did wrong? Thank you again!
For me, giving modcatlvl5removedangling the higher priority worked. If it doesn't for you, I'm sorry, but I don't have any Idea what could fix it. You could try to contact the other author and see if they can make it compatible
Oh my god...Yes! I've been waiting for a mod like this! There have been plenty of mods that lower the Grandmaster Feline's hood, but never outright get rid of it. This looks a thousand times better! While I'm not playing Witcher 3 at the moment, I will download and endorse! Thanks again for sharing this with us!
That's because armors generally don't have Geralt's entire body mesh underneath, only the parts that are exposed - in this case, his head down to his lower neck. Two ways to fix the clipping issues around the chainmail collar:
1. Remove the collar (as you did in the screenshot) and replace the mesh of Geralt's head with one that also includes a couple more inches of chest and shoulders, just enough to close the gap with the armor.
First and foremost, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for your hard work making this mod. I honestly have been waiting for something like this. However, it doesn't work with the mod in this picture: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/images/18353. Please check the google drive link in the comments to get the mod file. If I give your mod priority over said mod then I will have the ugly hanging pads. But if I give that mod priority over yours then the armor will have missing textures (hollow) around the neck. It'd be great if you can fix it. A thousand thanks in advance kind sir!
@comptonog Please don't comment on other comments unrelated to your issue.
It seems to me the other mod's author included lots of unnecessary files in their mod, destroying compatibility. You can find a version of that mod that should be compatible here

2. Simply widen/fatten the collar.
