    I found a way to remove the trees.
    First install this mod
    https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/7426?tab=description
    (install it in the bin/x64 or bin/x64_dx12 folder if you use dx12)

    On nexus "Witcher 3 4.00 Complete INI Settings List" mod, there is "Setting auto-updater" download in files section. Install and add this to the custom.ini:

    [Rendering/SpeedTree]
    SpeedTreeDrawStaticTrees=true //DisableTrees
    SpeedTreeDrawStaticBillboards=true //DisableTrees

    [Rendering/RT/SpeedTree]
    RTSTTrees=true //disable trees in rt

    Set all to false and save. It works at runtime as well so you can enable / disable at will.

      You actually don't need that mod to remove the trees. All you need to do is and those three lines to your dx12user.settings file and set them to false and the trees will all be gone.

      So yeah, it worked. But Tree Shadows are still there? Any ideas? :(

    Thank you! It's surprisingly way better without those many trees

    Only thing I have found that poses a problem is the hanged mans tree located in velen is gone, but the hanging bodies are still there floating in the air. Is there any way to delete the hanging bodies? Thanks!

      Yeah me too. But this is a small price I am willing to pay to gain more fps XD.

    Ok so based on the description this doesn't effect roach while riding him... right?

      From what I tested roach still ran into some invisible trees which makes no sense to me.
