Hi, do you possibly know if this mod is still compatible with next gen update? And can you install it and then remove it later in a savefile, or will that make the save unable to load like other quest mods? I'd love to try it out but I'm scared it might corrupt my saves. Thanks in advance :)

If someone still wants to use it, I can confirm that this still works like it should with the next-gen update ^_^

You don't have enough money by level 32 for the Runewright?

      Do you even explore, bro?

Hi Klubargutan. I just saw, that this mod has an unmergeable bundled-non text conflict with "Cheaper Runewright" from LEGO. I assume giving one priority disables the other?
Can I use your GM version of this mod instead of "cheaper runewright" to avoid this conflict, even tough I do not have GM installed?

can u fix a quest bug?

in White Orchard, geralt meet Tomira, there's a wounded woman, u can help her with a swallow potion. but even your potion has no ammo at all, quest still can be finished, it breaks immersion.

You have probably a mod that causes this bug. Or is this with vanilla?

In my (heavy modded) game that quest part works properly (no Swallow potion, no help; Swallow potion - dialog - help done - reward - quest done).

eg : swallow ammo( 0/3), should not help. but quest think u can help and finish.

why shouldn't it? Geralt can literally meditate for 1 minute to create all his potions, oils and bombs, so why wouldn't he prepare an extra swallow while in conversation?

after quest finish, ammo will be reduced by one. this is how original game works.

if game won't reduce ammo, finishing quest doesnot consum any ammo, i will not talk any bug and discuss the way to fix it.

      1) 225 posts, only 1 endorsement given?!
      2) you come here asking me to fix a bug without anything in return, not even saying "please", and then you say you wouldn't even discuss the bug with me and how to fix it?! are you serious?
      3) your english is trash, and so is your intelligence most likely

In my experience, this quest has always worked correctly.  But I decided to research this one anyway.  The quest appears to be working properly.  In the .w2scene, the condition criteria requires the presence of one item from any of the Swallow levels (level 1, 2, or 3).  If the criteria is met, Geralt is able to offer her the potion.  If the condition is not met (ie. he has no Swallow potions), he cannot offer her one.

On a related note, I found the following passage on the Witcher Wiki, which likely explains why the poster thought he had 0 Swallows, gave her one, and then was left with 0 afterwards:

If you are playing on one of the two highest difficulties then you should have automatically started with a Swallow potion. Assuming you haven't already used that potion you may give it to Lena. If you have already used the potion or don't have one, you will need to brew one which requires you to find the ingredients and then craft it in your inventory.

      https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/On_Death%27s_Bed

As far as I can tell, this one is not bugged.  If you have a different experience, please elaborate and I'll look further.  But as it stands, I will chalk it up to the explanation given and/or a mod that caused it.

Hi, thank you for your bug fixes, I have sort of request, there's bug that has long consisted in the game which really brakes immersion, it's when Npc's pathfinding is messed up, they start to walk in circles, especially in Novigrad, example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlFnFckbCR0, maybe you can look in to this, thank you regardless!.

That kind of bug has nothing to do with Klubargutan's fixes. And probably no modder can fix that, ever (except possibly CDPR, when they would workover the W3 engine).

Right, DaVinci. But it is really an eyesore. This happens even more bad sometimes at the Passiflora, outside near the fountain.

Perhaps somehow sometime somebody can and will fix this. Or maybe CDPR is not just giving the job to Sabre Interactive to make the next-gen update in terms of graphics, with a little luck, they will fix a few more bugs in a last patch (but I doubt). 'Cause the downside could be, that this results in making some beloved mods corrupt and "forcing" authors to make changes again to their mods to keep them compatible.

I want to point out another annoying bug, maybe this one is fixable, for example when random npc gives one liners, like just comments about Geralt or anything, if you stand next to him, that npc will repeat that same line like countless times, this does not happen always but often enough, I have played TW3 since release, and this wasn't the case always, thank you in advance!.

I'm sorry, but i don't really understand. WHY would i spend so many hours trying to fix a bug that i do not care about? I am not rich and my time is valuable. I even stated myself numerous times, basically on every bugfix, that i wouldn't accept any requests - if you want something fixed, do it yourself - or you can pay me an hourly wage and i'll be glad to spend up to 16 hours a day fixing those useless bugs.

I only fixed those bugs that are annoying to me and that i wanted to be fixed - i searched the internet for modding tools, opened game files and used my brain to figure out how things worked, nobody helped me. If it still annoys you after so many years of playing, just do the same thing instead of asking other people to fix things for you. Sorry for saying it like this, but i am merely being honest;)

Awesome find. It might be small but it's a new Witcher 3 quest nonetheless. Any idea why no one found it in the 5 years HoS has been out?

    Another great finding, indeed. Thanks!

though i do not yet know why the devs decided to remove it from the game (probably running an errand without having to fight anyone was useless in their opinion)?
However, the Runewright quests run under "mq6005" quests. The ep1 rewards file has no reference for this hidden "painite" quest part. In other words, Geralt gets no xp points or any other reward for providing it.
Nonetheless, having it in the game might add to the according immersion that has to do with the Runewright, so it's a nice-to-have quest addition.

My question still: Did you playtest it in a way, that verifies, it has no impact (read: possible disturbing side-effects) on the by CDPR realised Runewright gameplay (order of tasks, rewards)? I guess so  from your description, but just would like to know it for certain. Can't test it myself, because Runewright is too long ago now in my current playthrough.

Edit: Did you see an item ID for "painite"?
    Edit2: Found it "mq6005_painite" in def_item_quest.xml

indeed i did playtest it - i'd never upload a gamebreaking, untested mod (i made a mistake in the aditional file for camerlengo's report and added a vanilla file instead of a modified one, but i'll correct that in my future mod):)

it does not have rewards, it's just the same principe as the "jade" subquest: enchanting: quality has its price -> you unlock the next level of enchanting. Theoretically, you could even skip the jade collecting stuff and enable the runewright right away:)

      yes, that's the id;)

      Thanks, good to know.

The "jade" quest part is rewarded (as every other HoS quest part, too), so it is not really the same thing.
In my overhaul mod, almost all reward lines are edited (as almost every single xml file of the game). And especially also the Runewright gameplay got a lot alteration. That's why i asked closer about it.

      Edit

A last question: What happens with the "Painite" item after that quest-task (in Geralt's inventory or actually handed-out)?

Sorry for the late reply - it gets removed from inventory;)

btw, the easiest way to test the quest is start a baw new game and instead go to runewright:))

      it gets removed from inventory
Thanks! That's good to know for me. The Jade stone fe. goes (rather stays) as quasi extra reward item in Geralt's inventory. And i'm using code that allows move/sell quest items.

So in result, using your mod file works 100 % seamless for every gameplay overhaul. I will link your mod in my recommendation list (like i linked already other of your fix mods).

P.S. I will probably think about to adjust (reduce) the Crown value of the Painite (which is 300) to fit with my mod.
