Description

This mod fixes quite a lot of journal entries for quests - adds missing paragraphs and fixes some of them that are triggered incorrectly. There are so many quests that are bugged, so this is the first of a series of bugfixes aimed to add the missing, concluding, paragraphs -> in this one, minor side-quests and contracts are fixed.

This is compatible with more languages -> i never add things that are not in the game, i only fix bugs unrelated to any language, so all the strings for all the languages should be there. All the fixes work only BEFORE triggering the part of the quest that results in the journal entry -
so i suggest to keep this mod for your next gameplay:)

Contract: the oxenfurt drunk
  • 2 paragraphs missing, the first one unlocked after the first fight when katakan escapes, the last one unlocked after turning in the quest
Contract: deadly delights
  • 2 paragraphs missing, the first one unlocked after meeting the succubus for the first time, the last one unlocked after either killing or sparing the succubus (journal entry differs)
Contract: mysterious tracks
  • 1 missing paragraph added after turning in the quest
Contract: phantom of the trade route
  • 1 missing paragraph added after turning in the quest
Hey, you wanna look at my stuff?
  • 1 missing paragraph added after the quest concludes
Spooked mare
  • 1 missing paragraph added after talking to the scoiatael leader and either buying the horse, axiing the commander or not taking the horse. 
Warehouse of woe
  • 2 paragraphs missing, the first one added after finding both clues, the last one after turning in the quest.
  • The last paragraph has 3 possibilities - turning in the human, turning in the dwarf or not turning in anyone/not investigating thoroughly
Finders keepers
  • 1 missing paragraph added after turning in the quest
The family blade
  • 1 missing paragraph added after turning in the quest
An unpaid debt
  • If you kill Simon, the paragraph incorrectly states that you had killed the warrior. This is fixed and the paragraph is correct
Empty coop (fixed in a separate file)
  • 1 missing paragraph added after turning in the quest

This mod only adds the paragraphs that are missing, i will not be fixing "duplicate" paragraphs for quests like "crime and punishment" if you leave the guy be and then save him, for the quest "hazardous goods", if you strike a deal with the elves in "Spooked mare" but then betray them and kill them (the quest can get buggy, but it can easily be played through without it bugging out) or if you cure Morkvarg, get the sword reward but then kill him...

I will also not be changing the order of the journal entries or "fix" the journal entry if you spare the succubus and then kill her with bombs;)

Please, do not ask me for mod requsts or bug requests. I only fix the things that I encounter in my gameplay and that bother me. If you want something done, try to fix it yourself- i will be very happy to give you advice and guidance provided that i know it. I do not really care about bugs like npcs walking in circles, bad lightnings, shadows, graphics etc, so i'll never be fixing those even if i encounter them - you could probably ask some immersion modders for those, i mostly fix gameplay issues;)

Cause of the bugs

Devs had a LOT to do, and missing some paragraphs is just a normal case in developing software, especially in such a short time. It took me about 10 hours (not including any breaks) to create and test these tiny fixes

Installation

Place BOTH, modFixJournalEntriesContracts and modFixEmptyCoop inside your *installation path*/mods folder

You cannot resolve any conflicts, because this is not a script/xml based fix - hence the reason i added the empty coop fix separately, because the devs programmed it in the "bugfixing path" - i have absolutely zero idea why. If a new patch is released, i would have to program the empty coop fix again (most likely). It is also possible that there might be a conflict with other mods that add/change some quests.

WIP

The same as in my NGP fixes, but the next bugfix is going to consist of missing/wrong paragraphs for the bigger sidequests, for treasure hunts, for contract: phantom of eldberg (if you find out about mikkjal but let him stay, the paragraph is wrong) and for "worthy of trust" if you give the swindler a second chance (which i never did nor will do - i always choose to turn the basterd in)
