So i'm free for this week and i'm planning on modding the game's music in general (Velen, Skellige, Novigrad, Oxenfurt), i started with gwent as a training, but now i'll try different cities, starting with Skellige, i'm saying this because I'M TAKING SONG REQUESTS, please give me some songs you'd like implemented into the game's music, i do not guarantee you'll get your wish granted, but this will give me ideas of tracks you'd wish to have, so if you stumble upon this post and you wanna participate, feel free to leave a comment with your suggestion or PM me, preferably with a link to the music you want, and we'll see ;)
Based on some of the comments here this mod is not next gen compatible. However, if you do figure out how to program your way into an update, and are still taking requests, I'd love to see some tracks from the game Oblivian incorporated into a replacer. I think people forget how good the music in Oblivian was, and how much it would fit into the world of the Witcher in Velen, Oxenfurt and Novigrad. For Skellige I suggest music from the show The Last Kingdom and the game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Thank you for this! The vanilla gwent music is maddeningly repetitive and was one of the big turnoffs (among other things) that made me skip the whole gwent aspect of the game the first time around. This, paired with my own gwent overhaul, is perfection. So much nicer to listen to! I really hope you get around to adding even more tracks. I actually had some tracks I wanted to use for gwent but sound modding ended up being the one type of W3 modding I just can't manage lol.
Hey there. For some reason this mod isn't working for me? Are there any known conflicts like with Music Overhaul Project Redux or Music Overhaul Project (MOP)?
mmh, are you in toussaint ? maybe the mod doesn't work there, if it's the case, i'll try and upload an update of the mod, but i don't think it conflicts with MOP to be honest, they don't modify the same files.
Hello, no I wasn't in Toussaint. However I was able to fix my problem by putting the mod higher in my loadorder. Must be an overwrite with some music mod. Thanks for your hard work
Cool idea. I love TW1 music. Since you were taking suggestions, I wonder if you are able to replace the little musical fanfare bits that play when accepting, updating, and completing quests? In TW3 it's tribal yelling (HEYYYHH), and I think the music from the previous games might fit better. TW2 had somewhat similar sounds, mostly percussion for the accept/update, but with a dramatic choir chant for completion. TW1 had high fantasy fanfare with horns and strings for quest stages. Any of that you might be able to bring in would be awesome.
Hi, sure i like taking request if it helps me improve, as for your request, i'll have to dig in the game's audio files and find the sound you're talking about, i'll see what i can do :)
Hi, very interesting, I've already started to make this mod on my own and already replaced the quest completion sound with the W2 sound. I will try to get in touch with Adenschon, maybe we can work together/ help each other.
