      I have tried it and the musicians have stopped playing at all times, I may have something wrong but I can't find the problem  :S

   Is there a way to combine both versions, so that the street performers play the original mod sometimes and the alt version other times?

      maybe too late but do you have another mod that changes soundsspc.cache? like another music mod? if so you have to choose one

   It may break the band at the hos wedding. Not a big issue to just uninstall it for the wedding but if anyone's having terrible clunky robotic noise it may be this. (always play the song version)
