Nice! At first I had a problem in combat because use A/Cross to dodge, so I would start running in combat every time I dodged, but i fixed it by editing input.settings so that I need to hold the button for a bit before running starts.
I was looking for this kind of mod for a long time, only here, I modified the key to run on horseback with the "left stick" and not the "A" key, can your mod work? Where should you change something on your mod?
I havent tried it on keyboard but it should work regardless, install the keyboard version of this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1933 and my mod.. dont forget to use script merger after installing both mods.
As much as I wanna say that Im going to get it work without the sacrifice of the slow walking, I cant, so no promises there. I tried a lot of different things but no good, unfortunately I cant even say if its possible to achieve it tbh.
Lets hope that CDPR gives us toggle sprint option in the Next Gen Version :-)
The thing is when you try it alongside Immersive motion which i do , you would really see geralt tries to walk slow when you use the analog stick with a bit of sensitivity, it’s hard to maintain tho .
So with only immersive motion is actually active I used to do little of slow walk without pressing ( x -ps4 gamepad) And as soon as i press x he start normal running and then i toggle for the second time he would go sprinting and goes back to slow walk whenever i leave the x button.
With yours active he start normal by only moving the analog stick and by toggling x the first time he would still run normal and for the second x active he would sprint all the way non stop which is better than pressing the x button down all the way.
I wish i could do a little help of coding so i can help you out but you tried and did good job tho.
You can now download the new version just replace the folder with the new one. Also use script merger if you merged before delete the merge and merge again.
Now you can sprint with double tap without keeping the button pressed.
