   If you would like to achieve exactly the same effect as in the vid - here is my lighting setting:

   I noticed the step to install reshade isn't there. So am I to assume that reshade isn't necessary?

      It is the reshade so it needs the Reshade program. Because it wasn't obvious for you I added the info in the requirements. Thank you for pointing it out.

      is it \The Witcher 3\bin\Textures(which would be a new folder for me)
      and \The Witcher 3\bin\shaders

      Put both, the folder "reshade-shaders "and .ini file in bin/x64. And that should be everything
