Description: This mod simply multiplies the damage dealt by Geralt's bolts by a factor of 33, provided the bolt was in the base game. This mod ideally should not conflict with any other mod that doesn't change the damage stats for bolts.
The sole purpose of this mod is to make ranged combat a more viable option in The Witcher: 3. The crossbows are just painfully nerfed in the vanilla Witcher. Now you deal 33x the usual damage from your crossbows. You can now realistically have a crossbow build in Witcher 3, and if you're spoiled by Skyrim, you'll love this.
Do note, however, that it doesn't change how crossbows level up. The attack multipliers that come with the crossbows themselves are left unaltered. Only the bolts' damages are multiplied x33.
Why 33, of all numbers? Dunno. Do try the mod and let me know if the multiplier is ideal, or its too buffed or too nerfed (what!)
Sidenote: From what I've seen, Crosbows max out at level 31, with an attack multiplier of 300%. So, after level 31, you'll be meeting tougher enemies but your crossbow damage won't be leveling up with you. This can become an inconvenience as you progress. Will find ways to get around this issue in future versions if required and possible.
Installation instructions: Simply unzip the file to find a modBoltFix folder. Copy the folder to "<gamedir>\Mods\" where "<gamedir>" is the game folder with subdirectories like "bin", "content", etc.
