I wonder, on which difficulty are you playing thinking that quen is OP? i'm playnig on DM and I see no way i would have made that far in the game without it being like this. The quen is balanced by the fact that it uses all your energy and you can't use other sign at the same time...

Perfect! Just what I was looking for, thanks for making this! Is it still compatible with the game? I've not played for long but feel that Quen is overpowered even on Death March.
My only problem with quen is the active quen shield , because of its healing effect that makes no sense and it feels like cheating... But I guess no one would use it if it didnt do heal ...
You saw the problem ... but I think you didnt fix it right ... normal quen doesnt require any fix ... for the problem with the active shield though.... its really hard for me to make a good suggestion ... since if that shield doesnt heal ..then I dont think there is any reason to use that shield at all... one thing is clear though .. that shield shouldnt heal ..
my idea would be that the shield absorb way more dmg .. but without the healing effect .... this way you could use it to savely drink potions or stop 1 or 2 heavy blows from big enemys ... as of now the shield always breaks when huge enemys hit you .... which I think is wrong... on a side note active shield should always have a stamina cost ( even on tier 3) this is also a things thats very ridiculus as of now
I also have a simple mod request : can you make a mod that removes stamina regeneration from ( Griffin school techniques ) ... I think it absolutely makes no sense that you gain stamina regenarition for wearing heavy armor .... also it messes with the whole armor concept ... ( the lighter the armor the mroe stamina regeneration ) ... those 2 things are what bother me the most in terms of balance ^^ ... and I think you could easily fix this
gotta try your mod sometime ... seeing how the active shield turns out ... gotta see it in action ... maybe its better than I think^^ .. at the moment im playing completely without the sign tree ...

Seems to be working fine for me with patch 1.12.1 (merged it with Enhanced quen and Quen visual tweak mods).
