By a strange coincidence I accidentally removed this mod from the Nexusmods. These are restored versions that corresponds to the last update of the mod in December 2, 2019: - v1.1 - for the main game and "Hearts of Stone" expansion - v1.1t - for the "Blood and Wine" expansion
good mods i love it, and I hope someday you will trying to retexture the mirror, couse all mirror in the withcer 3 looks like just a dirty walls... sorry for my bad english.. thankyou...^^v
On the positive side is the imense distortion on default windows the mod fixes and makes them way more realistic but on the other side I think that this mod has done it's job way to good. The distortion is often nearly gone, like to see in the images, so that a little more distortion would be more imersive. I for example live in a house with old windows with a distortion that looks like a wobble effekt that is stronger then the distortion with the mod. I use this mod because the windows now look like windows and not like mosaiks anymore but the medivalish look of the glass is missing now. I would wish for a 1/3 or 1/4 less "less distortion" version. But non the less it is a nice mod I can recomand.
This mod has a much bigger impact than I expected. It's really great, because it adds a lot immersion when you walk around a house and can see whats going on outside. I don't care about "realism", it's a fantasy game ffs.
But transparent materials do distort/bend light based on the shape and IOR value (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refraction). So the vanilla game is actually more physically accurate (not 100% of course). But I agree, the distortion is a bit much and it ruins the beautiful scenery behind it. Something in the middle would be perfect. A little bit of distortion.
Edit: just took another look at the screenshots, some seem to have a little bit of distortion and some seem to have none. The ones that have look better imo. Maybe they all have distortion but some aren't as obvious.
You are right. Vanilla game looks like mosaic but the mod makes them mostly look like "modern" windows (mostly no noticable distortion). Would be nice to have more varations of the mod or to know what values in the mod I have to change to adjust the effect.
This isn't a fix so much as a modern day glass upgrade. Antique windows are just as distorted and arguably even blurrier than how they are portrayed in the base game.

Any plans to work that out?

Tried it. Vanilla looks better.
