I don't currently play Witcher 3 as much as before, so I am still on 1.31 version and have not catch up with any "new (kinda old news now) gen" update. Hopefully the workaround from other users can fix your problem.
To anyone still playing and using the mod, please feel free to download/edit/upload to the latest version if you want.
Conflics: Any mods that modify this file will not be compatible with the mod or at least will require you to finesse the mod load orders dlc\bob\data\quests\sidequests\sq701_tournament.w2phase
Once mod installed manually (to be sure) load script merger and search inside for "bundled non-text not-mergeable" --> expand and find dlc\bob\data\quests\sidequests\sq701_tournament.w2phase
expand this entry and right click on modBaWHorseRaceLonger --> set overall priority to 1
Just have to load the sequence and no need to play with bow and sword to win, just focus on finishing the race with the horse. I was very desapointed (to say the less), when once again, I had to strugggle with this kind of race cause I can not manage to use the horse, bow and sword at the same time without either missing targets, or falling from a bridge or another problem that forced me to reload again and again a save. Knowing that I was also forced to restart the computer every 3 reloads because of lag. This was really anti-immersive for me and I simply hate that so your mod comes in handy. I'm glad I made a save before starting this horrid "quick-timed" horse race quest.
There are no trainers, etc., that offer a faster Roach or extending horse race timers, so it's race, fail, load save, and repeat for myself.
The horse race quests are NOT good!
- Use the last version of script merger

Because after reading the description and comments, it's something I'm definitely going to need because I am TERRIBLE at timed Missions/Races etc.
