Thanks for making the mod but I can't seem to get it to work. I've downloaded plenty of other mods which probably took priority and cancelled this one out but I'm not certain. Is there any mods that this particular mod doesn't work with?
Thanks for this. It definitely feels a lot better than vanilla layout. The only thing that bothers me is no longer being able to use the right thumbstick click to read new books, change objectives, start new quest, etc.. Not a deal breaker, but that was a nice feature.
Hey, I would like to change parry/counterattack to right shoulder, but cant seem to find the line to do that in input.settings, someone know how to do that?
Hello MaxWheel, I don't have Witcher 3 installed atm, and since creating this mod a lot of time has passed. I could try my best and check it out at the weekend if you want to. Just give me a short PM if this is still necessary.
I went into the game and tried to block with left trigger, it worked perfectly. Did you download the latest input.settings file that Cedup uploaded? It says "compatible with 1.22", but it still works with 1.31.
I put an alternative version here, if you want to try that: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vwyw3ion2myflyy/input.settings_witcher1.31.zip?dl=0 In this version, I mapped the quick read button for quest updates and books to the Y button so that you don't shoot the bow all the time when you want to track a new quest.
Either of the files should work though! If you still have troubles, PM me and we'll try to sort it out.
Hi, quick question, what line did you change to cause the start button to go to 'MAP' when you hold it down? I would like to change that to the 'N' keyboard key, the meditation if possible, but I am not sure what line to change, or how to code it. Any help would be great!
There are two ways you can go about this. You can use the ingame keybindings menu to bind 'N' to the map (make sure to temporarily remove read-only from the input.settings file). It's best to do this with the controller switched off, I find. You may also need to press 'O' in the keybindings menu in order to unlock some of the key bindings, including map.
The other way is to look for all the IK_M=(Action=PanelMapPC) entries in your input.settings file (again, temporarily remove read-only). There should be a couple of these, and you change 'IK_M' to 'IK_N' in all of those lines.
I uploaded a patched file for version 1.22 of The Witcher 3. I also added some of the missing functions that were apparently added in one of the last expansions.
Edit: Let me know if something doesn't work right so I can fix it.
I tried to run this mod with the new witcher3 update 1.21 and it doesn't seem to work. The default layout is still active in-game. Could someone give an advice how to change the input.settings file for patch 1.21 or could someone upload a functioning file?
Open the input.settings file and look for the line with "Version=31", change that value to 43 to make the mappings work with version 1.21 of the Witcher 3. Don't forget to set the file to allow modification, and afterwards change it back to read-only.
I tested this quickly and it seems to work, even the new quick dial seems to work so far. I am not sure about some of the new functions they introduced with this update, such as the option to open the quick dial in the mode that stops time completely.
I've updated the JACL config to 1.12 and fixed some issues with the stash and shooting the crossbow in-fight. (With A selecting a sign in the radial menu.)
I will remove this link when Cedup updates his official files. :-)
wrong23 I wanna thank u for the update. Since I changed the camera to manually I was having some small issues with my whole game experience....Thank U very much.
