    Let me know if there are any issues other than the camera not being unlocked. I only tested the mod on one ladder.

      Confirmed working properly with 4.0 / Next Gen Edition

      This mod completely removes camera auto-centering when mounting ladders.
      However, it appears CDPR did a very nice job smoothing out the camera auto-centering when mounting ladders in the Next Gen update, alleviating the sudden jarring "twitch".  So, you may no longer feel the need to use this mod.  But, it comes down to personal preference.  If you desire full control over the camera / wish it to remain where you put it when mounting ladders, without needing to take control of the right stick/mouse to override auto-centering, this mod still serves that purpose

    Great idea for a mod. I tested this mod but sadly it does not work in lighthouses, at least for me. Anything behaves like vanilla in lighthouses. I play with Gamepad and I can even adjust camera (left and right) when using this mod, which you said, should not be possible for now. That leads me even more to believe, that this mod does not work in lighthouses (climbing ladders in these).

    Game's been out for 5 years and this is the first mod I've seen addressing this. I know its a minor annoyance but still great mod mate!

      I think because it's such a minor change none have really given it too much thought. does maker the game feel more immersive though

    Works perfectly for me, I can even move the camera freely and the camera does not move up and down anymore. I'm using an xbox controller
