RevoReality wrote: i am using witcher3 1.10 and cannot get this to better parry to work with Extensible Finishers
if i load only Extensible Finishers then Better parry 2nd script merger merges everything but im still not able to parry heavy attacks, what the heck.
if i load Better parry then Extensible Finishers, script merger isnt able to merge and i get script errors
Error [modxtfinishers]game\gameplay\syncmanager.ws(171): 'actionContext' is not a member of 'handle:CR4Player' Error [modxtfinishers]game\gameplay\syncmanager.ws(1237): 'actionContext' is not a member of 'handle:CR4Player' Error [modxtfinishers]game\gameplay\syncmanager.ws(1244): Could not find function 'LoadActionContext'
i get a ton of enjoyment out of slomotion finishes but i really would like to have the ability to block everything especially heavy attacks. anyway to fix this?
I did a test with the base eXTensible Finishers mod, and it works for me.
Are you using NMM? Here's what I did.
I put both folders, modDefenseHeavy and modXTFinishers (base mod only) into my mod folder.
I do not have a mods.settings file. If you do have one, remove it temporarily from the Documents/The Witcher 3 folder.
I used script merger. It merged the files both mods have in common: damageManagerProcessor.ws and r4player.ws. No issues there.
That's it.
Do what I did, go in the game and fight a bunch of drowners. It works. Keep in mind, that some *special* heavy attacks made by enemies would still knock you down and damage you.
If you do insist on using the mods.settings file, make sure that [mod0000_MergedFiles] has the highest priority over all other mods after using Script Merger.
So add those lines to your mod.settings file, and make sure no other mods has Priority=0
Can you share what exact edits/alterations/additions you made to each ws file. I want to update this mod since no one has done it yet and it seems like there are lots of people interested in this mod.
I went in and compared the ws files from this mod to the updated mod and look at the current ws files and I'm not sure if I could find all the modifications.
Hey Man thanks a lot! its working, nevermind the endrega its working anyway but somehow i learn to love using without this mod since I was playing like a 2 weeks without it. But again great job and thanks!
Yes, I agree that the use of dodge is possible and even necessary, but with this mod in difficult situations, you always have the ability to block heavy attacks. On the first day of the appearance of this game I was constantly annoyed that Geralt of Rivia, the greatest master of swords, almost Jedi, can not block the attack of what that dirty beggars, and other villains.

Not quite sure what any of this means so hopefully you could sort it out.
I was a little busy, today I will try to do the update.
To RichardNixon666, this usually happens when there are conflicts with other mods or you have version 1.22 game, but mod made for 1.21. Check out conflicts using Script Merger, or wait until a new version come

Dear author, I hope you will not mind if I'll post an updated version of your mod?
If you are against, then I remove the update.
Guys, unfortunately, I have now no way to test it, so it's your job. Let me know if something is wrong.
