What I can make of the description with my piss-poor French is this:
"Ciri observed them. They were of the same height; that's to say, they were simply huge." -Andrzej Sapkowski, Lady of the Lake
"Avallac'h, Eredin and all the other elves she had encountered until now had been incredibly big; to look into their eyes, she'd had to hold her head high." Andzej Sapkowski, Lady of the Lake
I'm sure the French among us can provide a better translation, but this is the gist of it.
Yeah was kind of lazy lol. Was not wanting to look for the english version on the internet as I only own the Polish and the French versions of the books. Will change this in the future
Could a mod like this be made for Dijkstra: it always bothered me how he is supposed to be 7 feet (2.13 meters) tall, but in the game he is just average height like most characters ---__---
Hi! I was wondering how you were able to change the height of characters like you did Avallach. It seems you edited the w2ents, but there are a lot of options to narrow down and I'm not sure which aspect to edit.
Sorry to be a bother, but I've been trying for ages and it doesn't seem to matter what I edit. In the CMovingPhysicalAgentComponent I saw you changed the sizes under the transform variable to 1.15, but there's no effect in game when I edit them. Strangely even when I reset them to 0 in your modded file (and remove your mod before installing the edited file) he still appears large in game.
I've compared the original file to your modded file line by line and the only other changes seem to be under the bounding box in certain chunks. That and an ID number, but changing those values to match yours didn't make a difference either.
I understand if it's too complicated to explain, but is there something simple I'm missing?
It's definitely great that you made him taller, he needed that, but I think this is just too tall. In this essay I will explain why I think it would be okay to split the difference in height between Geralt and, say, Imlerith, for Avallach's height.
I'm going to have to dig out the books again and re-read them, but I'm pretty sure Geralt is supposed to be quite tall himself. It makes no sense to me that Ciri is his same height, even in heeled boots. However, as you pointed out, changing either of them would break the framing of scenes, along with a lot of other things not lining up, and would be a tremendous undertaking to do it "properly". So let's move on to Avallac'h...
He needn't be as tall as the tallest elf. Humans vary quite a bit in height and there's no reason to believe elves are any different. Not only that, you have him standing next to some of the most imposing athletic warriors amongst the elves, reasonable to assume they are taller than usual. And my final point, and most pertinent is that we never see Avallac'h before he is cursed. There's no reason to believe that lifting the curse returns him to his full former height, among the other effects he suffers.
It's possible that a middle height between Geralt and the other elves, can still be considered lore-friendly and won't have him going out of frame so much in scenes. Whatcha think?

This could be changed now with REDkit. Although it would make for a compatibilty nightmare to modify every scene and cutscene he's in
