it's programmed differently. this one is programmed just like the rolls with just a different animation. the scripted version added all kinds of delays and things that force geralt to face a certain direction. it also only used the backwords pirrouette animation and used scripting to change the direction of it. also this one works with "jump in combat while sprinting" mods and that one has a bizzare interaction with it.

and to compare. why would you need absolute cam if you already have immersive cam?
immersive cam have a lot of options... and that sometimes is THE disadvantage. one, its not about the camera options anymore, and thus often causes a lot of script conflicts and thus unmergeable. two, absolute cam does what exact;ly what you need: just adjusting camera behavior/angle/disable or enable vanilla cam options. three, immersive has so many options that it still has some annoying bugs when playng DLCs or in NG+.
Immersive Cam indeed has a lot of options and that's indeed a good thing. I've 117 mods installed and it works flawlessly. I really wonder what kind of issues you had with it.
Finally, Geralt isn't rolling around all over the place like a darn dung beetle! Much appreciation for this mod, its been a nice change from vanilla. Works like a charm in 4.04 with your jog mod, too!
Hey I dunno if it's been posted already but everytime I get into combat the camera sets itself to faraway instead of having it close like I set it up in the game settings. Any fix for that ?
Dunno will this help to anyone in 2021 but still gonna write it. This mod still works perfectly, but it has big problem, facing. After pirouette you face where you are looking, and not the enemy. So this was the problem. But here is solution. Easy one.
Use this mod with ttps://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2003 with this mod. And choose in this <-- mod settings as replace roll like Enabled - on Random - off Default Pirouette - 50 Alt Pirouette - 50 Replace - Rolls Type of Pirouette - Alternative
Then you will solve your roll facing problem thanks to "pirouettes" mod, and you will also have dodge animations from this awesome mod, so no more facing problem+new dodge animations. This is perfect combo. Have fun everyone. Thanks to modders.

I mean , when player is far from enemy and press forward+roll key ( short or long pirouette instead vanilla roll) ,gerry makes an anim and finish with facing front to enemy- so its ok but, when close to enemy and press forward+roll key , gerry finish anim behind enemy with his back to enemy- so its completely broken, since you get more dmg on your back
I thought it would be possible to add to that scripts condition based on distance from enemy and use a proper pirouettes anim ( one from far , and other with just turning gerry around enemy when he is close )
Йо , можно использовать мод (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2258?tab=files&file_id=19982 ) там собраны все 4 элемента , но вместе с этим увеличенное расcтояние атак , анимации которых выглядит не очень на мой взгляд . можно попробовать перебить это модом ( https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2655?tab=files&file_id=19296) но тогда остаешься без первой легкой дальней атаки .
