I appreciate the mod, but for me, it does not always increase immersion to play like this, without a map. For example, despite Ciri's directions, I still didn't manage to find the ineiromancer's house and I got lost. In real life, I would ask someone the directions to the fish market, but you cannot do that here... Or maybe I would ask Ciri to accompany me to the house so that I'd be sure to find it. And a map isn't completely unrealistic. But Witcher 3's map is too detailed and correct for it to be a real medieval map. But it makes sense that Geralt would have a map and would mark out quest objectives on the map. I use Annoying map to hide the player's position, so that I would have to keep track of that myself.
The closest thing to what you ask for that I know: use the optional file, and download Annoying Map, and a mod that adds a compass (Nonintrusive Compass Directions, or Friendly HUD configured to this end), and disable minimap in gameplay options.
Hey ! Great mod, with a very good concept ! I was wondering, what about translation ? I may be interested in doing a translation in french for this mod, so more people can enjoy it ! If we can collaborate on this, it could be fun ! I await your answer, thank you in advance !
been two years since I played and I knew exactly what bugged me about the game the first time. I came to Nexus, with immersion and ui in my filter hoping to find a fix and this mod is exactly what I was looking for. Shame it appears to be discontinued - I would've loved this experience for the DLC too.
I'm starting my first play-through and the hand-holding the game does turns me off from exploring and solving quest puzzles etc. This mod seems perfect for me - even the map being disabled sounds good to me.. However it seems the mod has been abandoned, sadly.
The only drawback that made me uninstall it is the fact that the treasures have no directions at all. So if you want the witcher sets etc. you're screwed.
