    Sticky
Others have mentioned this but didn't give a great tutorial on how to do it: it turns out that this mod and Gwent Card Dealer can be merged to give the best of both worlds. All that's required is navigating to the Bundled Text area of Script Merger, selecting both \gameplay\items\def_loot_shops.xml and \gameplay\items_plus\def_loot_shops.xml, and then selecting the "Create selected merge" option at the bottom. The merges should complete automatically and without any errors, so just be patient.

Hopefully this helps somebody who wants both mods at the same time.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested this with every single merchant in the game, so there might be some conflict somewhere, but it seems like there aren't any problems so far. This was on NGP as well.

Only issue for me is when deleting/removing the mod the roach trophies continue to stay with the merchant

Same here. The merchant just sells generic items, nothing from the mod. I have merged using Script Merger.-

There's nothing to fix. It's just a mod conflict with something else you have installed.

In my case, it was enough to increase the priority of the mod in load order.

Installed mod using The Witch 3 mod manager.  Rare items merchant appears, but he only has a few food and odd items.  No rare items.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling mod.  Still same.  Ideas of what maybe the issue?

I just wanted to show my appreciation for this mod :D although admittedly it can break game if you don't pay attention (e.g: buying witcher schematics beforehand) it's really useful to get the missing schematics, 'cuz the game (mine at least) doesn't always let you buy the maps for scavenger hunts from merchants, and so having the chance to buy the schematics directly it's a godsend <3

BTW: it's just me or the inventory is dynamic, in the sense that the merchant sells only the item you have yet to acquire?

Original game removes diagrams and recipes from inventory of merchants, if you already have these diagrams and recipes.

I was just wondering, if it is possible to add some items manually to the shop? I would like to add the "Sword of Gryffindor" from the https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/6801 mod. When I give it to me via debug console, it stays at level 1 and I dont know how to level it. So is it possible to add items manually (maybe modded items)?

If you want to add some item to shop, you can unpack mod data and add your item there. But that probably won't make it "not level 1", because it looks like you have conflicts with some other mods. Try buying it from merchants from that mod's description. If that does not work, uninstall all mods except "Gryffindor" and try again.

Alternatively, you can install mod Potato Item Cheats, select Gryffindor swords in inventory and use commands: PIC_ShowAbilities(1), PIC_AddCraftedAbl('autogen_fixed_steel_dmg', 1) and PIC_AddCraftedAbl('autogen_fixed_silver_dmg', 1).

How to uninstall it? I just deleted the file and the merchant is still there offering less items than before and every quest is changed to higher level for some reason.

Delete modRareItemsMerchant folder. Merchant is supposed to remain. Because mod just changes shop list for existing merchant. Don't know what changed your quests.

I'm not making a request for the mod per se, but more like asking for advice. Could you please give me a hint at how to make more unique shop items, like Top Notch swords? I wanted to make Gremist sell Wolven Hour as a one time offer, but I can't wrap my head around how.

You'll need to unpack (you may also find relevant info by term "uncook") bundle files, edit unpacked files, then pack (or "cook") them back. For this you will need either only Witcher ModKit, or also ModKitchen or something else. Item IDs are easy to find on fandom wiki.
