    Hey guys,

i started the mod a few hours ago.
I don't have any other game changing mods installed fyi.

First of all i really like the concept behind the mod and i'm enjoying the gaming alot.
I will continue playing the game trough with the mod because it is overall a great implementation and idea.
I just wanted to talk about a few things i have noticed while playing for a few hours (just arrived to velen).

    - Helper NPC's deal too much damage:
For the pre-Griffin Quest the helper NPC was able to oneshot Wargs with his bow. I could not even reach them because they were dead so quickly.

    - Human NPC's dont have enough HP.
In basically every Quest against Humans they died after 1-2 fast sword strikes.

    - Quen seems - just like vanilla - extraordinary strong
It can basically block most of the creatures blows. If you kite properly they can almost never kill you.

I would appreciate a response and also i would be interested what you think about the stated things.
Thank you for your time and work,
    it is much appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Rene

      Hey there,

So in regard to your points.

-Not sure what wargs are... but yes, NPC's do more damage. This was done so that Sorceresses could also do more damage. As per the lore, Sorceresses are extremely powerful and should be a lot stronger than the Vanilla game portrays them. The issue is how CDPR wrote friendly NPC damage into the game. To improve the Sorceresses I have no at least partially improve all the other friendly NPCs.

-Again, this is for realism's sake. Humans in velen are malnourished bandits with no armor on. They shouldn't be surviving 2 hits from Geralt's sword or even be able to block an attack from Geralt. So yes, human enemies in Velen are easier than in vanilla. They get harder than Vanilla later in the game, when you're fighting trained soldiers (like the Order of the Flaming Rose).

-Quen is nerfed by the Fatigue system. Each time your quen breaks you're fatiguing Geralt, meaning he does less damage, takes longer to recover from being stunned and has delayed stamina regeneration. If you just abuse Quen, you're going to find that it takes you forever to kill any monsters and his stamina regen gets badly nerfed. I also increased the delay for your stamina regenerating after casting Quen from 0.5 seconds to 2 seconds.

      Hey, thanks for the reply.

Just fyi, those are wargs: https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Warg

Look, I get your point being more lore friendly.
It just interferes with the idea of "death mark" being a challenge.
I fought against Golems with Keira and she just deleted them - making me useless in the process.
I mean ofcourse Sorcerers are powerful, but aren't Golems supposed to be powerful as well?
Also, Geralt is the main character. In my opinion friendly NPCs shouldn't make the main character redundant.

As for Quen, thank you for the informations about the fatigue system. Makes sense.

When you do the quest with Keira, Elementals are in general now too strong for Geralt at that point as their damage resistance is super high. So you need her help there, you're simply not yet equipped to handle them. Also, the spells she uses is supposed to clue you in to a massive weakness they have that you can exploit down the line if you so wish...

Geralt is ultimately just a Witcher, which I wanted to express more than the vanilla game did. That means there are people that will always be stronger than him, regardless of how much you've levelled up.

In saying that, the Sorceresses aren't all powerful. Provoke Keira into a fight and you'll see what I mean. She'll probably kill you in one or two hits if she lands an attack, but if you can close the gap things will be over quickly...

According to the game, Gerald is about a hundred years old, he is one of the strongest witchers who studied at a cruel school (just look at Ciri's work at the pendulum). He underwent strength and speed mutations. What trained warriors can block his blows, and constantly? Are they trained during combat? LOL. HE is much stronger, faster and has centuries of experience behind him. He has to cut any knights in half through the block with one blow, and some kind of backshocks weaken him, 4 pushes and the superhero can't do damage....No, it definitely shouldn't work that way. Yes, a monster's blow should weaken, but not a man's push) I used a translator..
