I don't know if it is just my reshade settings because i'm a complete newbie but parts of the HUD get blurry when the background is the sky. I would appreciate your help. Here's an image.
Right, I'm probably a complete knobhead but when I install it, it applies to all zones, not just Skellige. Where am I doing wrong?
Also, on step 2, where I have to run the Reshade setup exe, select "witcher 3.exe" (bin/x64), click Direct3D10+ and download all the shaders. Do I also have to install everything after the download. (Most likely a moronic question, I know.) Because it says in the in-game menu that there's some error with a file.
It must be manually switched off, whenever you are not In Skellige. There is no "Automode" available in Reshade program, sadly. Fortunately, switching presets takes about 3 seconds using Reshade menu, or 0,5 sec if you use keybind.
Regarding your installation question, if all work fine, then good. If not, download all the effects and filters that the newest Reshade program suggests and use only them (not my own Reshade folders, they are quite old). Take from my files only the configuration file (preset itself) into the x64 folder. Good luck.
Nowadays I use this Brutal Face Mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2630). Some of the screenshots were taken when I used more fresh looking Witcher 1 inspired Mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/721).
Sorry to bother again, but I just tried something and I can't catch breath. This reshade is the best for Velen with great mod from my favorite modder KNGR. Try it. Mod name is "Winter is coming". I made some shots again and I think that this set is just awesome: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/images/17424
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing that. I might add this possibility into mod description for those who like winter in Velen or some place else than Skellige too. : )
I also recommend combining it with this Icy Ocean mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3895), which actually makes Skellige water so cold it damages Geralt's vitality. Really adds to the immersion!
And then there is this Skellige Ice breath mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1257), which would be cool too. Sadly, I myself haven't gotten it to work with the billion script mods that I'm running. : D

If you can't get the Reshade program to work, there might installation problem of some sorts.
All you need to do is rename the file dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll. (bin/x64)
If you don't mind, which face mod(s) are you using for Geralt?

I don't know how to add other people's pictures, but I would love to have them as User Images, if you want to upload them.
