I do not recommend this mod if you using DX12 + Ray Tracing + HDR, this mod seems to disable a lot of the DX12 features and make most of the torches and fire VFX really dull, HDR also doesn't work properly even on the user interface is not applied, indoors lightning are also really bad is a hit or miss...overall is disappointing

hdr is bad in general. i havent seen anything look better than sdr on an oled...my opinion(if it matters): hdr is a scam.

@Fuzzotage, default HDR implementation in games is pretty woeful these days. Some passionate individuals are constantly working on HDR fixes, one of the primary ones being RenoDX HDR. (Which injects native HDR by the means of Reshade) Someone made a config for this game just last month, it's on Nexus. I've been using it with Promotional Atmosphere and it's amazing.

@Fuzzotage I game on a G9 OLED and HDR is just stunning specially in games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2, in other hand HDR400 is not as good but still better then SDR in most cases also HDR is not for everyone tastes but i do respect your opinion.

This is amazing. I finally dont have to keep adjusting the brightness and bang my head against the wall trying to make it look "right." Kudo x1000.

Dumb question, what do I do with the Weather Commands.txt?

The .txt file is a list of weather commands you can type into the game's command console if you want to see a specific weather. You don't put it in the game's folder.

Overall, I like this mod, and I appreciate the work done, but apart from Toussaint. It is a pity that the author did not provide a choice that excludes Toussaint as a separate version of the file. Toussaint can't be so gray and colorless.

Are there anyone who was able to merge “No volumetric clouds and fog” and “No Toussaint“ together for classic version? Thanks.

Can someone say whether the old More Realistic Wind Effect for IL 2.2 still works alright with 2.3?

EDIT: answered my own question. There's a bit of tedious manual merging one should do to make it compatible, but really it's just about editing the second value in every line of the weather files (the wind value).

Tried many other mods like this Took, TLM 2.1,/3, Nudel, but kept this one. Is it perfect? No. Vanilla interior lighting/shadows still suck, but looks great outside 99% of the time. Of course some changes are matter of taste, this is more of a "grim look" mod, but without going overboard, you still get color where it makes sense.

Also it was configured with DX11 in mind, so don't expect DX12 look great, but if you can run DX12 with RT you can try a bunch of other mods or just enjoy vanilla with RT.
