Hey great preset! One question though, I get a compile error on quint_bloom.fx. I have even used the one from the reshade installer but same result. I'm using reshade 4.9.1. What could I be doing wrong?
Though I'm not sure how big of an effect that particular shader has. Game looks much better with a cooler hue. Again thanks for this.
EDIT: nvm, i figured it out. the reshade installer has the quint effects in their own folder. i just deleted the ones in the "root" shaders folder.
I initially created this for my own playthroughs - I wanted something that reminded me of both Witcher 2 and 1.
Sharing and updating Reshades to the public took quite a some time, more than I thought, but comments like yours actually make it worth the effort in the end! So thank you in turn.
And it's great idea to modify existing Reshades even slightly further, because of different tastes, monitors etc.
Anyway thx for making this. Searched a long time for a good / perfect one but nothing feels "right" to me till i found yours! I'm modded The Witcher 3 very hard to get the feeling from e3 trailers back and i think i almost got it for me.
Your reshade did a large job creating this feeling for me! Good job man
Hello, the trial feels good, but it affects the frame rate very much. May I not find the option for performance mode in Reshade, is I not looking for the right place?
Hi, This is a problem with many Reshades, mine too. It does reduce FPS - how much, it depends on your set up. Though there are some things you might try. - Remember to set Reshade to "Performance mode" in the settings tab. - Try to "Alt + Tab" or "Ctrl + Alt + Del" to the desktop, and then return to game. Sometimes this increases dramatically my FPS, though I don't know why exactly. - If all else fails, you could try deactivating some of the less important Filters. These would be mainly SurfaceSharpen, Bloom, and LightDoF. I don't know if these would affect much on the FPS though.
I have another small question for you. How did you aquire the Grim.fx? You see, a friend of mine made a lut shader a while back. He named it Grim.fx. I placed it in one of my reshades.
So I hope im wrong about you taking that without credit and/ or permission. If I am, then I apologize for my assumption. If I am however correct and you have the decency to be honest, please correct it.
welp, here I am. Grim.fx doesn't do much so it's totally fine that you @Agamainen use it. HOWEVER! I would like to remind you that stealing others stuff without permissions or credits can get you into trouble. It means you mods could be taken down. If you use FX files you don't know about you should ask the person you got it from if you are allowed to use these effects. Its no big deal in this case but for the friendly modding sake, please credit correctly/ask for permissions Sincerely, the Grim.fx author ;)
Hello Adysss, thank you for stopping by and for the warm response. And also for creating the Grim.fx, then! To be honest, I knew next to nothing about how Reshade actually works, or that some of the shaders were someone's property. I've propably downloaded the shader from some of the prior reshades I've tested, possibly that of the marijnkoppens' then. I thought it was one of the "generic" filters that are in common circulation, it looked nice, and I enabled it. I do apologise for using it without your permission! This is also quite helpful regarding future - I wouldn't want to make the same mistake again.
Thank You for letting it stay! It is pretty subtle effect in itself, but replicating it with other filters would take much time and be a headache, so I apreciate your permit. I have added your due credits to my description and to the Youtube video's description.
Also, I've used the Grim.fx in my Skellige and Toussaint reshades the same way. I was intending to share them in couple of months time. Do I have your permit to use Grim in those too, if I credit you?
Thanks for the comment. I left them in so that someone who wants to tinker further could enable or test them. Some of them are quite wonderful even though I didn't use them myself. I don't quite see why they would be a problem (expect for additional loading time of maybe 1-2 seconds).
It just doesn't make sense. You provide people with a preset. If they want to tinker, they can add the shaders. I guess im just a bit to perfectionistic. Or autistic. You decide.

i just wanted to spend tribut with this comment.
Your reshade is the best one so far in my perspective! So natural so cool. I know everyone got there own taste but for me its the best one so far!
I modify this one a little bit for me but i took it as basic for my own reshade!
Thanks a lot dude!
