there was a guy on the nexus that tried to rewrite the dialogs (no voice acting though) and make it so that the ending slide shows Temerian independence and Dijkstra alive. He was polish, so i guess there were some nationalist grievances on his part regarding the game's parallels with redania. I thought that was a good idea, but now I think I prefer your solution... A good "everyone lives"-type of ending does not fit the Witcher universe. This solution is simpler and allows for a nice cliffhanger, which kinda fits Dijkstra deviousness as portrayed in the books.
I will try and download a save for "reason of state", to see if it works.
found it finally! google: mod.3dmgame.com/mod/54334 maybe someone should reupload it before we lose it forever :/ It was awesome for the main part and the controversial part was optional anyway. I am so damn pleased with this find, hoooray :)
Pretty cool concept. Does this mod actually change the ending (yknow, both Roche and Co live and Redania still wins) or is it only a way to explain Dijkstra's sudden betrayal?
Nice! I agree with you! Dijkstra is smart as f***, and he never would fight Geralt (again). Even more that he had 2 veterans of the Blue Stripes and a professional spy on his side against Dijkstra and some henchmen. It's just sad that, if you want to have the best North End, "you" need to kill Roche, Ves and Thaler... As a reader of the books, I could NEVER let Emhyr win the war and rule the North.
You know what I would like to see? Since it is speculated that a new Witcher game will be worked on (without Geralt, though I'm hoping that they will change their mind), they will actually take this Doppler Dijkstra idea and have the real Dijkstra in the new game with an explanation on what happened.
I'd love to see this in french, I'm not a modder and I don't know how to do change anything but if you send me the text I'm willing to translate everything and send it back to you

I also agree that Djikstra betraying everyone was so out of character! Love it!
