    ABOUT NEXT-GEN COMPATABILITY

This reshade is made for PLM 2. PLM 2 does NOT work with Witcher 3 Next Gen Update. Therefore, this preset cannot be used nor updated to Next Gen Update untill PLM 2 works for it. And sicne PLM 2 is an older version of PLM anyways, that won't happen. Sorry for all, but if you want the look on this page - dont use the next gen update.

    Sincerely,

    Marijn

Welcome to Photorealistic Reshade 2021 (latest update 9-1-2021)

    Thank you
for downloading and using my reshade. We've been going strong since 2018 and that's all thanks to you!
When you enjoy the preset, the best way of thanking me is by endorsing and leaving a comment. Alternatively you can also join my Patreon to thank me, support me or get exclusive content/services:

Also, without Milos' work on WLM and later PLM, this reshade would not exist. Spread some love here: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3170

This preset ONLY works with reshade version 4.5.3.

    Reshade Framework 4.5.3.

    Not booting or crashing?
    - Make sure mod limit fix is installed - game doesn't launch after texture mod limit is reached https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3643
    - Make sure no other/older version of reshade is already installed (d3d9.dll or d3d11.dll)
    - Don't run third party programs or overlays
    - Rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll
    - Reflect critically on your install. Did you follow my steps to the letter?

    Want to uninstall?

    Remove dxgi.dll, reshade.ini, Photorealistic 2021.ini and reshade-shaders folder.

I didn't realize the installation was so involved for a ReShade. I'm not the most computer savvy person. I'm still rereading the directions for like the 3rd time trying to understand the 13 step process. Lol!

Have been using an old version of this reshade for vanilla lighting that doesnt seem to be available anymore for every playthrough since 2019. Absolute masterclass in reshade quality. Thank you marinko

When I tried installing Reshade 4.5.3 I got the error message: "Could not find a part of the path C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\reshade-shaders-master\Shaders" I`ve tried reinstalling countless times also getting the error Message with the Readme.md but can`t seem to get this reshade to work, anyone had a similar issue?

Use the latest version of reshade and install the qUINT effects package. When you get to the step of deleting the shaders, open the qUINT folder and drag "qUINT_lightroom" to your desktop. Then drag over the photorealistic reshade shaders and drag the "qUINT_lightroom" from earlier back into the folder.

Basically you want to use the "qUINT_lightroom" file you installed directly from reshade effects rather than the one that comes with this mod

Hey, everybody. Is it necessary to set the "perfomance mod"? Or is it better not to touch it?

You still had another version of reshade installed. The error message tells you what and where.

Hi, i tried downloading the ReShade setup (v. 4.5.3) and it said that download failed cause readme.md already exists. I saw some post about this, but i just couldn't figure out, what should i do. I have never downloaded any shaders to Witcher 3 before. Very thankful for any help.

I do have DX12 in my Witcher folder... it asks for renderer... is reshade 4.5.3 compatible with DX12? Is it better to just use DX12 and not this mod+reshade? I have installed HD textures mod as well. Want to have W3 looking as good as possible.

It literally says at the top of this page that this reshade isn't compatible with the next gen version of the game since the lighting mod it uses doesn't work with the next gen version. If you want to use it downgrade your game to version 1.32.

hi, reshade 4.5.3 a couple of months ago just started crashing the game, it can’t even start
  13. I am sorry to sound so stupid, but where exactly is the ''location of step 2''? What step 2 exactly? I don't seem to have a Reshade-shaders file in bin/64... What am i doing wrong
