Updates 2/5/18 -Added a Friendly HUD Patch with Install Instruction in the .7z file -Added new version of both Menu Sequences. The Main Menu logo has been moved to the top center of the screen. Steam User name next and Witcher version text were removed from the screen for a cleaner appearance.
Can you replace all the screensavers with Geralt's meditation with your video series? I just use the mod Always Full Exp, it alternates boot screens, and I do not want to delete it(
I've never left a comment on any of these boards,, but can I just say thank you for an amazing combination of music and portions of the trailers? This is AWESOME. Easy to install and worked like a charm!
The install instructions were so simple that I feel stupid even posting this but.... It doesn't work for me. I have extracted the folder (only one in the download despite the description saying "all folders") and it hasn't bugged or anything but nothing is different when I boot the game.
Any ideas?
I'm using GOTY GOG version and I don't have friendly HUD or any mod like it but I am aware that I get the blood and wine main menu as well as the other 2 original ones so none of them have been replaced by this mod...
EDIT I just downloaded the mod again because I noticed the GUI folder was empty and the new download has the .ws file in that folder so I guess the original download was incomplete or something. If I don't edit this again in the next hour then it all worked fine and your mod is wonderful. :)
EDIT 2: The problem seems to be that I usually unzip mod files using 9zip and this has a file extension of .7z which seems to extract incorrectly. Irritating. Tried using winzip, same thing happened, nothing comes through in the Gui folder so basically it doesn't work. Any help appreciated
Which fix? The auto replay bugging out? That may take some time.
If you’re referring to 60FPS video, yeah, it’s oretty straightforward, but all the videos that are 60fps interpolated are all blurry messes. It’s a trade off of Speed\Fluidity>Image Quality.
Not sure how Lexar could ruin this. Lol. It doesn’t contain any envs.
What’s weird about the hitching, version 2 is another file. The main difference is that version 1 was made with Shotcut and version 2 with Vegas Pro. I’ve got a new version 1 rendered in Vegas, might work on converting and testing it tonight.
I have tried the latest version and I absolutely love it. The file also works fine with FriendlyHUD without the need to download the patch, I just used Script Merger and s#*! merged just fine.
Just have a few questions: 1. Could you make a 100% transparent main menu without the video? If not, how did you do it? 2. I tried the FriendlyHUD patch but there's nothing in the scripts folder, not sure if it's an issue with Nexus or?
Answers: 1. Yes. Might take some trial and error, but iirc, you need to edit panel_ingamemenu.redswf. Use JPEXs. Don't edit the redswf itself. You have to use something like WolvenKit to click on the swf resource and export it to your desktop. Once you've managed to open the resource in JPEXs, find DefineSprite (337) Depth: 3. Click edit. Change placeFlagHasColorTransform : Boolean = false to placeFlagHasColorTransform : Boolean = true. Then click colorTransform :CXFORMWITHALPHA. Change alphaMultTerm : SB[nbits] to 0. Save. Then use WolvenKit or whatever you're using to import your edited panel_ingamemenu.redswf, save as a mod and done. Do remember that you'll have to change the file extension from panel_ingamemenu.redswf to panel_ingamemenu.red.swf (add a period between red and swf).
2. Weird. Deleted for now. I know Friendly HUD had a ws that conflicted. If it throws errors at you, that'll tell you what file to edit. Can't remember if I deleted the file in friendly HUD or if I copied mine over to it. Trial and error.
is this mod supposed to appear at random because sometimes I get the normal main menu look(like the ones with Geralt meditating) and then I get this mod menu.
Tracking this for when I come back to playing TW3. I'm currently replaying The Witcher: EE w/Rise of the White Wolf. Playing the games in order. My problem is which mod do I want to use, I love both trailers.
I'm planning on doing my first "Let's Play" video for the game. But my twist will be "Let's Play Modded (Game Title)". I was thinking on doing it for TW2, but reading the books again and seeing the new mods since the last time I played TW3 makes me want to quickly go through TW2 to get to TW3.
Could you upscale it to 4K, maybe re-record it while it's playing through madVR with the highest settings, luma quadrupling, etc? You would need 4x SLi Volta setup for that, which AFAIK, it does not support, but it probably can be done some other way.
As it stands, I am pretty sure the reason v1 plays back choppy upon repeat is because it is too long. File size may have an impact on that. I can also say that running about 25 mods, I had to remove this from mods folder to get the game to load.
A 4k version would have to be completely reconstructed with 4k footage. It's very doable, but the file size would be absolutely enormous.

Version 1 will lag upon replay. Currently looking into it.

Lol he would probably include this kind of mod into his "One pack" Lexar Mod if he could, like what he did to Beautiful Grass by boostin.
Also, f*** Lexar.
