Brother, you are amazing. It turned out to be the previous disarming of the Hairworks mod, which reduced my FPS. I installed this mod, and the game increased the FPS performance a lot. I thought I was wrong. Thank you very much, but I didn't How many people know that you have made a great mod, you have absolutely no problem with your mod, because I installed almost 400+ mods, really happy
Downloaded out of curiosity on how it'd change performance, decided I'd rather hairworks be on and everything so I uninstalled the mod and had everything on as normal like before, even reloaded a save to before I installed the mod. Now the "everything shaved but ponytail" has strange splotches of Grey, specifically at the back clearly in view. I'm not sure why this happened, the only changes I made were I installed the mod, then uninstalled the mod. It's quite sad to play with this now :(
Another reason I believe it's tied to the mod, it wasn't there prior and turning off Hairworks entirely fixes the issue, turning it back on like normal is what causes the splotches of grey hair seeping through like a little bubble almost. It's entirely unnatural and I'm quite miffed at how to fix it now.
Not working for me on GOTY version from GOG. Dunno why.
[Edit] it actually works. However, if you're using Denroth's "Reworked hair and beards", you need to set Disable hairworks on geralt higher in the load order.
i noticed too that geralts hairs look nicer with hairworks but the beard without. Because with Hairworks on the beard gets washed out and i like it more crisp
@WitcherBoy1981 - I hope that you will release an update for your mod, sir! A compatibility update with this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/4400
This is a long shot, but could the author (or anyone really) tell me how this mod was done. I've been trying to achieve the same effect of no hairworks on the "DLC2 Improved Mod's" hairs. I've got as far as seeing that this mod edits the .redfur files - but how exactly are these files changed to disable hairworks in game?
Edit: sussed it out - CFurMeshResourceN was the key
