    This mod doesnt work anymore - but you don't need this or any other mod to open console. Just go to folder The Witcher 3/bin/config/base and open the general.ini with notepad. Then add "DBGConsoleOn=true" on a new line, save it. Then you have just to find out what key ingame is working for you - for me "ö" worked fine for opening.

      What key is that? Or can you explain how you went about finding that key? I basically smashed my whole keyboard and nothing popped up

      I some how lost Olgierd's Sabre, Iris and had no idea how when I thought sure I put it in my Stash. So I just added it.

    Small edit to that post.  The game now starts even with that MatchesCountError error window showing.  The game shuts off if I close that error window but plays normally if I leave the error window open.  However, the console does not appear at all.

    downloaded this to fix the tiniest bug and now my game wont start, the windows dL didnt help, i deleted the mod and it still doesnt work, thanks for breaking the game....

    Okay, I downloaded and installed the debug console enabler and the two C++ files named vcredist_x64 and vcredist_86.  I put those two files in the bin/x64 folder of Witcher and unzipped the Enabler into that folder too.
     
    When the debug-console-enabler.dll application extension is in any place besides the bin/x64/Plugins folder, the game starts and plays fine but I'm unable to access the console command when I hit the ~ key.
     
    When the debug-console-enabler.dll application extension is in the bin/x64/Plugins folder, the game won't start at all.  It throws an error called MatchesCountError with a string of characters under it.  I took a snip shot but can't figure out how to attach it here.
     
    I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.  I followed the video instructions step by step.  Any ideas ?

    Hello people, I'm trying to get this to work with no success, my version is definitely 1.06 so I'm wondering what the problem is. Any advice?

    It looks a lot like this mod's dead.  =\   Looks a lot like there haven't been any updates in a good long while, and with the latest version of the game + DLC on Steam, even after following the installation instructions, nothing happens when attempting to open the debug console.  Bummer, too.  Looked like it was going to be a fun little mod.
