This really happens ? I will check the files of my mod. Thanks for the find and sharing as modder resource.
Edit: Implemented your findings to my Yennefer mod but didn't notice much difference. The only instances were they were using the common texture were a towel and a lingerie something in the yen.w2ent file?
The rest of her appearances use the dedicated Yennefer texture. For other characters, like Triss, it's worse. She uses the common texture in every case I believe.
Hm...Maybe I looked over the files too fast then, because I noticed differences in only two appearances. From what I had understood, almost all female bodies use the same model mesh/texture so, in the end I suppose Yennefer doesn't differ from the other women in-game and that's why I couldn't notice any differences. Still, good work you did here and endorsed. I might use your findings for a future update to my Yennefer mod. Triss then doesn't have a unique texture at all?
I haven't tested, but from looking at the files yes, Triss doesn't have a unique texture. Wouldn't be too hard to give her one though. Only a few npcs actually have a fully unique texture, Ciri for example.
Interesting finding, maybe now is possible to fix the seams of this mods http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1699/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1699/?

Doesn't contain any texture files that should create seams.
Edit: Tested in-game and yes there is a seam. He must have changed the mesh to another body that doesn't quite match.
