Can confirm, after a bit of conflict merging, that this works with my 1.31 non goty. However, when activated with this mod, vanilla's enemy upscaling does not work, neither does this mod's Dynamic Level Upscaling. Tried using only one of them, then both, but the problem remains. Maybe I f***ed up something while merging levels. Anyway, everything else works.
breaks enemy upscaling (mod seems to use its own upscaling algorithm). also seems to break sharpening wheel for some reason. and causes a very strange bug where mounted enemies wont die, but follow you around, swinging and dealing no damage. Otherwise works great. i wish attack cost stamina though
I have a question about the mod, and I couldn't find an answer on the original mod's page: All you guys who've played the game with this mod, do you remember it covering enemies from the Blood and Wine expansion? Because I fully uncooked the mod with Sarcen's editor and it doesn't feature files for the vampires, for example. If this mod that anrc kindly updated, still doesn't work for you, I can give it a shot and attempt to update it too, but unless someone edits and includes the relevant files, this mod isn't going to cover the enemies you meet from both(?) expansions...
AFAIK the mod got supported till Hearts of Stone (i finished wihout problems but for the fight with Von Everec, you can't counter his attacks, the game's auto level system screw that fight with the mod), the author promise an update for Blood and Wine...but he is inactive for a long time so that will never be. Releasing the expansion a year later of the original release didn't help it seems.
Been waiting a while for a response, thank you! I have been wondering what happened to all those users who have downloaded this mod and what their was experienxe was. Did the updated mod work succesfully?
I see, so my initial assumption was partly correct. My thinking is partially based on conjuctions since I haven't used this mod, but if I understand you correctly, apart from that Everec fight, the rest of the enemies had stamina levels as described by this mod and their combat behavior was different than in the vanilla game? Additionally, in the case of the boss fight that you describe as problematic, was it caused by the game's original leveling system or by the game option that was patched later and leveled up enemies?
First, sorry for the late late answer. I think that the auto level introduce by CDRed broke a big part of this mod, before it the mod works great and it was way better IMHO that the developers solution. Then there is the Blood and wine expansion, i try it with the mod but almost all enemies one hit you or you made just 1 point of hit points. All that since the last update of Brutal and Realistic Combat, i didn't try it with this new spinoff update. Also, the music now is tie to the leveling of the enemies, and "breaks it" when you modify the leveling settings.
It's okay, I also have been stuck with a couple remodeling mods, so I didn't have time to look into this. I had started previously with a limited updating of this mod, plus making a couple of changes here and there related to combat. Would you be interested in testing it someday when I make more progress on it?
Sure man, gladly. Ah just other thing, was this mod the one that let you start from the begin with the alternative signs and moves unlocked and ready to use?
According to some posts there are problems related to the leveling system when you encounter certain enemies that are part of Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone. The author of the original mod did not modify the files in the blob0.bundle. I'm not sure what kind of files to put there. Also I don't have any idea how to modify/update the blob0.bundle file.
Hey anrc, I replied similarly to another message. I have uncooked the mod and started making some changes to it VERY slowly, because I have been stuck in a couple other mods. It isn't very hard to do the same yourself apart that it needs a certain procedure, it's just that most of the info available is kinda outdated and convoluted. If you need any help, send me a pm, I would be happy to offer as much assistance as I can!
I can't get this to work, I get a lot of error's. Even after using the Witcher 3 Script Merger. But thanks for the effort! I hope this will work in the future! Witcher 3 is too easy without a difficulty mod.

@all Any help is deeply appreciated.
I've been using fast and deadly combat but I have missed this mod so much thanks again.
