      NGPP enables you to level above 100, but for looting you also need the mod "Level 100 plus".
      However "Level 100 plus" hasn't been updated to Next Gen apparently and may not work anymore.
      If so, you can play locked to level 100 on Next Gen or revert your game to patch 1.32 and then freely level up.

      Edit: "Fixed Level 100 Plus" for Next Gen is available now.

      Would you be able to pin this, or something?  This is just the post I was looking for (and I know a lot of other people were asking similar questions previously), but I've already had to scroll to the bottom of the page to find it, and I imagine this thread will get pushed to other pages before long.

    After reinstalling the game my damage numbers got buffed quite a bit.
    Reaquired the weapons with commands and the numbers were back down again.
    Could anyone explain why this happened and how to avoid it in the future please?

      In the mod options, was "Equipment leveling" set to "Vanilla" and "New game plus plus level" to a high value?
      Maybe you executed the command "NGPPUnlockVanillaEquipmentLeveling" before?

      It might also be a game bug. With a witcher set (like the Grandmaster Legendary Feline Set), unequipping and reequipping it while still in vanilla NG+ - before using the mod - increases sword damage (with my test save at least).

    I have managed to start a NG++ game, but when I try to go to Option Menu, I don't see "Mods". dxfilelist has the line "modnewgameplusplus.xml;" in it, so shouldn't it show?
    I started NG++ with the console comand CustomInitResetDiagrams.

    What did I do wrong or what did I miss?

      Make sure you have
      modnewgameplusplus.xml
      in

      I do have that "modnewgameplusplus.xml;" line in the bin ->pc folder, written in both the dx11filelist.txt and dx12filelist.txt files. I didn't even have to place it there. It was somehow automaticly there when I installed the mod.

      In the dx12filelist.txt it says:

      audio.xml;
      gameplay.xml;
      hidden.xml;
      hud.xml;
      input.xml;
      localization.xml;
      gamma.xml;
      display.xml;
      graphics.xml;
      hdr.xml;
      modnewgameplusplus.xml;

      In the dx11filelist:

      audio.xml;
      gameplay.xml;
      hidden.xml;
      hud.xml;
      input.xml;
      localization.xml;
      gamma.xml;
      display.xml;
      graphicsdx11.xml;
      hdr.xml;
      modnewgameplusplus.xml;

      I also notice while playing in WhiteOrchard, that my achievement bar had absolutely no gain (Lvl. 100 - 0/2000) when I killed monsters or finished quests. I tried it again from the start. Went to previous game, finished it, went through all the clicks "You can now start...", Console - Save - new start, but this time with just "CustomInit". Same results. No Mod options, no gain.

      The Folder ModNewgameplusplus with all it's subfolders is in my "SteamLibrary/Steamapps/common/theWitcher3/"   folder and in it's Mod folder as well.
      I guess it is working or otherwise I couldn't have started a NG++ from my NG+ Save in the first place. I also started it with Witcher2 Simulate "On".

      Filelists seem OK but I meant the "modnewgameplusplus.xml" file itself (can be found in the downloaded .zip), it has to be copied to
      [Witcher 3 main folder]\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc.
      About the achievement bar, you're probably capped at level 100. You can raise the cap in the mod menu, but then you also need "Fixed Level 100 Plus" for looting to keep working.
      The folder "modNewGamePlusPlus" only has to be in [Witcher 3 main folder]\mods. Duplicates might even cause problems, who knows.

      I'm sorry to be so bothersome, but now I have more questions.

      I did as you said and voila, finaly I have the mod option in my menu. I then click on Mods/Newgameplusplus

      and I get 4 (FOUR!) options:

      * No equipment lvl. requirement,
      * Maximum damage taken
      * Maximum damage dealt
      * Rich merchants

      The rest of the options - as seen in you're screenshot  above - are missing. No equipent leveling ect.
      I have the "modZZFixedLevel100Plus" Mod installed, because in you're description it said this one "or"  the treasure fix one (which seems unavailable)
      I really wan't this equipment leveling ect.. I have no clue why this isn't working properly.
      Thanks fo the help.

      PS: Where do I have to place the german translation file for it to work? I have it in the mod folder but NG++ descriptions still in english.

      You need to be in-game (load a game) for all mod options to be visible.
      "Fixed Level 100 Plus" is the correct mod to fix looting on Next Gen.
      The translation goes to:
      [Witcher 3 main folder]\Mods\modNewGamePlusPlus\content
      where all the .w3strings files are (overwrite existing file).

      Hello,
      I finaly got it going but still have some issues that I don't understand.
      My NG++ settings are now.
      Max. player lvl. 250 150
      NG+ Lvl. 500
      No eq. lvl.  on
      Eq. lvl.  Vanilla
      Match player lvl. for all eq. - off

      Currently I am at lvl. 106 and I started the Game from a "ResetDiagrams" Console Save.

      I did as you described in the description the "BGPPLockVanillaEquipmentLeveling", but the stuff I took from my stash into my inventory from previous game, just won't lvl. to my current lvl. I'm using the forgotten legendary grandmaster wolf armor, that was at lvl. 94 during my last game, and the stats are still the same. Same goes for all the other stuff I tried. I followed the instructions (turn vanilla off, go to game - console command, turn vanilla on again) but the stats for all my stuff, even the one I got in this new game, are not adapting to my new levels I am gaining.
      I would really like to have my Aerondight lvl. up with me.
      Have I chosen the wrong setting?

      Another problem I am encountering is my blocking ability. Whenever I try to block a simple strike from a bandit or monster, it goes right through my block (although its not a "red" attack). I even tried it with that stupid guy who keeps wanting to challange you. I stood there holding block and he went right through it and killed Geralt. Same with the counter block. Did I make the enemy to strong? I wan't to lvl. up fast. thats why I chose enemy lvl. so high (I had it at 400, but that was to much). Edit: I turned Player lvl. down to 150 and now the blocking works again)

      I also noticed the normal loot usualy is a bit better then my own gear from the last game (but just minor damage points). But the rusted swords ect. they are OP (4000+) Damage. So I used them, but they deplete and can not be repaired.
      Armor that you craft shows very high stats, but then when I put it on, it is reduced to aprox. lvl. of my own gear. lvl.  allthough I have the "Match player lvl." OFF.

      On what basis does the armor lvl. orient itself on? The "max. player" or "NG++ lvl" you have set? For loot and/or crafting?

      Hi,
      the option New game plus plus level affects the level of enemies (if Enemy upscaling is disabled), crafting schematics, quests and new equipment.
      But if you want equipment to match your level and level up with you, no need for console commands, just set Equipment leveling to Match player level. This should upscale all lower level inventory gear to your level. If you also have higher level items and want to downscale them, enable Match player level for all equipment, including high level.

      Hello, thanks for the reply.
      I'm stilll having issues that I don't understand. I finaly realized the NG+ Leveling effects the crafting part.  So I placed it at 999 and then went to Hatori to pick up my new sword as reward. (I'm lvl 120 now).  I got my forgotten legendery grandmaster wolf sets which had a damage o 11000 or 9000+. Woooo! Great. Played the game. and then closed it. Today I continue and my entire Gear has been downgraded. My armor (forgotten leg. Wolf) had 5000+ and is now 1396. My swords are now 3117/2442.
      How come they got downgraded after continuing the game newly?  I went to Hatori to look what damage a new  crafted silversword would have. Again 11000+.  I really want to keep my OP stuff, but don't know how. I don't want everything reduced after I start the game new.

      I'm also curious, if I set NG+ lvl to 999 to craft new armor/weapons and get high lvl. stuff, and then set NG+ lvl lower (300-500), will it automaticly degrade the stuff I now have in my inventory?

      To get get my Grandmaster set back to that lovely high lvl. I would need to reload the saves to before I picked up my rewards from Joana and Hatori. And thats a pain, because I did so many quests in the mean time. (Is there a console command that I can reset my gear to lvl. 999?)
      Please let me know how I can stabilze this, so I can keep my OP stuff. Equipment leveling is set to Vanilla. Match player level is OFF.

      Btw. Does the scaling of Armor/weapons just aply to witcher gear, or any other stuff (relic/magic/normal) you loot or craft?
      Thanks

      Hi,
      "Vanilla" is the game's own equipment leveling and breaks around level 250 (with my test save at least), possibly because it was designed for a maximum player level of 100. Level 250+ items will downgrade.
      That's why the mod has its own "Match player level" equipment leveling, which should keep gear in sync even if you're very high level.
      Another option is to combine NGPP Lite with a separate equipment leveling mod that does what you want, if you know such a mod.
      By the way, raising "New game plus plus level" to 999 will also scale enemies way above 120 (999+).

      Hello,

      Yes, I noticed that when I raise the NG# level for enemys, that Gear that I craft is (damned expensive) and top level. I now tried the "NGPPUnlockVanilla" Command, and all of a sudden my chest armor went from 1395 to over 3000+.  Thats why I tried setting NG+ to 999, get the gear and then play it with a more feasable level.  I now have set it back to Vanilla. I just don't want my gear to be downgraded, when I set the NG+ lvl. lower. Specialy not if I pay a lot of coin to get something crafted. I usualy play with enemys 150-250 lvl. above my own.
      I didn't understand, that the upgrading of you're gear in the inventory only activates when you lvl. up It still is a bit confusing.

      Edit: I just loaded my Inventory with Legendary Manticor and Viper Armor and all the Leg. Witcher Swords from previous game and went on a mission, to lvl. up. I had everything set on "Match player lvl.". Well, nothing leveled up, except one Viper Sword that I had gotten in this playthrough. The Viper Sword from previous game was not lvld. up.  I don't understand how this works.
      Thanks for the reply and time.

      My Aerondight doesn't lvl. anymore either. Stats say damage increase is from 296 to a max of 10. and when it is fully loaded, it doen't level, but stays at "10" during entire fight regardless of how many I kill.

      Hi,
      you're saying that with "Equipment leveling" set to "Match player level", only some gear leveled up (specifically its "Required level"), when you did?
      The gear that didn't, was it in your inventory? Also, was it above Geralt's level to begin with?
      Maybe I should take a look at your save, if you upload it somewhere.

      Regarding Aerondight, if its "Required Level" matches player level (both 40 here), the stats show "maximum of 10":

      (from There Can Be Only One - The Witcher 3 Guide - IGN).
      I could easily change "Match player level" to simply skip Aerondight... but not convinced I should.

    Hi, I have installed the Lite version of this mod and used the NGPPCustomInit to save my game and start a NG+. However, this command doesnt seem to be working as all my crafting recipes have been deleted (eg. i can no longer find the witcher gear recipes when i open up the crafting menu). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

      Hi,
      sounds like you used NGPPCustomInitResetDiagrams (too) because it resets the crafting schematics (NGPPCustomInit does not).
      Try again executing only NGPPCustomInit, and only once.

      I tried it again and can confirm that I only used the NGPPCustomInit once. I could tell that the command worked as I found that my quest items have been deleted while my crafting schematics were still there after the command was executed. I then saved the game in a new slot and started a NG+ with that save but my crafting schematics are still missing. I dont know if this matters but I did it in Toussaint during the "Knight For Hire" quest, and have completed the main quests of both expansions.

      edit: would also like to add that this is NOT a NG+ save, it is a base game save and I am currently still halfway through my NG+ save. Is this mod not intended to work on base game save files?

      NGPP is intended to start NG++ from a NG+ save, NG+++ from a NG++ save, etc.
      NGPPStandardInit and NGPPCustomInitResetDiagrams reset the schematics, NGPPCustomInit doesn't.
      Apparently standalone HoS and standalone BaW also reset them.
      Apart from that not sure what could be causing it, unless you have

      RemoveAllCraftingSchematics();

      or

      craftingSchematics.Clear();

      in some mod.
