Thanks for this Warhammer 40k Sanctus Reach is pretty dark out of the box, no gamma adjust! Used this to live edit a preset and got what I wanted!
To do that run Ninja, open a preset.txt in the installed game folder (SweetFX is there of course) i.e https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/7407/ for the preset SweetFX_Settings_Warhammer_40,000_Sanctus_Reach.txt
Open Sanctus Reach (probably work for Witcher 3 game as well) Alt tab to Ninja, drag a slider i.e Lift Gamma Gain >RGB_Gama 1.5 save Alt tab back to the game and now game looks like what I want THANKS
Alt tab and edit for more changes if desired, no need to quit and reload game.
@greentea101 Hello, i wanna ask you how is the name of an effect in Witcher 3 and if its adjustable in your utilily, its a blue shine over all objects, but its very noticable over black and dark colored objects, here is a screenshot from my game: http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/952/3110420-1440188583.jpg and a screenshot from google which does not contain custom sweetfx and texture mods: http://blogs-images.forbes.com/insertcoin/files/2015/06/witcher-3-1.jpg It not an issue from any mod, its vanilla this annoying shine and i tried almost all sweetfx presets i found on the web, nothing does reduce or change this blue shine into white or grey or disable it! Do you know what it is and how we can get rid of it?
I never noticed this myself in-game, but judging from those screenshots, taking some blue out of the color balance might be what you're looking for (or at least it might help to a degree). I think there are several effects that can do that, but in order to use them, you need to have a basic understanding of colors and their Red, Green, and Blue components (RGB). Each color can be defined as a combination of RBG values, which range from 0 to 255. For example, pure blue is (0, 0, 255); and since yellow is a combination or red and green, pure yellow is (255, 255, 0).
So if you want to reduce the amount of blue in the image, you need to find an effect that allows you to modify the color balance in some way, and then use it to reduce the value for the blue component. I don't have a very good understanding of the SweetFX effects (nor much experience with them), but if I were you, I'd try Lift Gamma Gain. Since you say the blue tint is mostly noticeable over dark objects, I'd start by reducing the blue value of the RGB_Lift setting (this setting affects "shadows" or dark colors, while the other two affect midtones and highlights). Alternatively, you could also mess around with the Tonemap effect (specifically the Defog and FogColor settings).
As you can see I don't have a "pre-made" solution, but I hope this info helps.
My knowledge of sweetfx settings is 0 too, i have no idea what is what, only thought images i can understand what are touching those things. Many thanks for your reply, i hope i will make it! :) Edit: I just reduced 90% of every blue in the sweetfx settings and nothing changed in the game, damn it CD Red Project! -_- I think its the reflection of the sky, what else can it be?
Are you sure that you enabled the effect, and that SweetFX is working properly? Changing the settings for Lift Gamma Gain should have a clearly visible impact.
It's not meant to work with that file, which is part of the ReShade Framework. It's meant to work with the SweetFX_settings.txt file that comes with SweetFX 2.0 Beta 8. I'm sorry that the tool is useless to you, but I don't plan to support ReShade's .cfg files. If you use the ReShade Framework, then you'll just have to use the Mediator application that comes with it.
When I try to use it with All Natural sweetfx preset http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/105/? it crashes with "sweetfx ninja has stopped working..." error message. What could be causing it?
Thanks for the report. The crash happens because the file uses a non-standard description section at the beginning, which I didn't expect the program to ever encounter. I'll be releasing a fixed version soon.
When I replied before, I didn't realize that the non-standard style of section header is actually used throughout the file, not just in the description. That is way too much trouble to try to work with; I tried, but quickly realized what a mess that is. With C-style comments (/* */) there's a clear beginning and end to the header, but with the C++ style (//) there's no reasonable way to tell things apart (can't even reliably distinguish between section headers and regular comments).
So the next version won't be able to handle files using this guy's style, but at least it won't crash either (it will pass on the file to the text editor).
You should be able to resize the window vertically (it's locked horizontally because I didn't see the point in resizing it horizontally). You can also maximize it vertically by double clicking on the upper or lower borders.
