21 Jul 2017 Update: SweetFX 2.0 + ReShade 2.0.3 = DEAD

It seems that the ReShade author has decided to pull the plug on the SFX + ReShade combo, declaring it deprecated and making the download unavailable. This has been the case for a while now, but I haven't gotten around to updating this page to acknowledge it until now. If you don't already have SFX 2.0, you might not be able to download it (I can't find it anywhere as I write this), but you can still use SweetFX Ninja to configure the old SweetFX 1.5.1.

: I just found out that a version repository has existed all this time, with the blessing of the ReShade developer. https://reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/294-reshade-repository-new-host

Description

This is a tool that allows the editing of SweetFX settings files using a simple and efficient graphical interface. It is fully compatible with the SweetFX_settings.txt file that comes with SweetFX 2.0 Preview 8 (which is the last version of SweetFX). It is NOT compatible with any of the .cfg files that come with the ReShade Framework.

How to use

To use, unpack the files into a new folder, and run "SfxNinja.exe". The program is intended to be used by associating .txt files with it (or whatever extension you use for SFX settings files), although you don't have to do that if you don't want to.

If you do associate .txt files with it, then whenever the system opens a text file, SfxNinja.exe is launched with the file's name as a command line argument. The program then checks the file to see if it's a SweetFX settings file, and if it is, then it opens it. If it's not, then the program transparently forwards it to your chosen text editor, and exits. This allows you to automatically open SweetFX settings files with SfxNinja, while still having regular text files open with your text editor.

To associate .txt files with SweetFX Ninja, right-click on a .txt file, and select "Open with -> Choose default program..."

New in v1.3

  • fixed the annoying black background that was briefly visible at startup
  • added optional tooltips showing the default values of settings
  • added the ability to set values to default by right-clicking on them
  • added the option to display non-default values with a different color
  • added a "Configuration" dialog box

Let me know if you find any bugs or issues.
