As some of you know, I have been working for some time on modifying the existing STLM 2.2.1 files. Overtime, this has turned into a huge project, spending possibly a 100+ hours just on tweaking - everything from: Moon size, DOF, Torch Radius and Brightness, Reflections, Night lighting, I have redone all weathers, improved water, etc. I have worked with both .ENV lighting and my ReShade to create what I believe to be something spectacular.
Sadly, Essenthy has said he does not approve of me uploading my modified version.
He recently said: "... i always encouraged peoples to make their own mods instead of asking me to do it for them, even to modify STLM, take it as a basis and make your own things, anyone who need help with this can ask me on twitter if needed, peoples already asked me and i always respond when i have time, just cite me in the credits if you ever do something like that"
Its sad because after he said this, I had began working on my continuation of my modification and then got a personal response today saying he wouldnt support me updating STLM 2.2.1; I am not sure why he would give a blanket public statement encouraging people to do the exact thing I was working on, then personally tell me no...
Here is my exact message to him:
"Essenthy, Hello and thank you for all that you have done for the modding community.
I have been using STLM 2.2.1 for sometime, during which I began modifying the .ENV files for fun. This soon turned into a huge project for myself in which I modified everything from water, DOF, torch lighting, shadows, etc. It still has the look and feel of 2.2.1 but with dozens of personal changes.
My question is, would you approve of me reuploading the file onto the nexus with the changes I have made?
I would give you credit of course and wanted to ask before.
Thank you and I look forward to your response.

He simply responded with: "No sorry"
So, I will have to try and start something from scratch and go from there. Keep my own personal changes and try to start something else...
TESTERS NEEDED:
In the mean time, if you don't want to wait another year for me to finish something from scratch, send me a message and I'll give you the dropbox link for the lighting mod (modified STLM), which comes with:
- Lense flare for fire and sun - Fix for bright torch light - Change in fire color for all areas - Increased torch radius - Moon size tweaks - Transparent vegitation fix - New DOF for all areas - Improved and new cutscene lighting for many areas - Brand new lighting for a dozen or so areas (leshen forest, Toussaint crypts, Kaer Morehn interior, etc.) - Improved Swamp lighting and water - Improved wind effects on trees for all weathers - Over two dozen brand new weather presets - And much more!!!
If you are interested, and would like to help me test it out and improve, reach out to me directly because I won't upload onto the nexus due to Essenthys disapproval.
This Mod ruined my games visuals, text blurs, mini map blurs, screen blurs, no greatly noticeable difference except the motion blur... EVERYTHING Blurs!
Same issue. Shift + F2 wont trigger anything for me. I tried disabling DOF and Blur in the games setting aswell as the Ultra Graphic Settings from Hulk. Also I reinstalled the non-DOF realistic version, didn't change anything.
Though a very old comment, I love going back a reading people who clearly didn't read the part of the mod page stating that this very issue may occur with Depth of Field and you must press F4 when entering cutscenes if you wish to avoid it.
Would first like to say this is fantastic. I have found one minor issue on my side in that my Steam overlay doesn't work with the shaders on. I've followed all the steps exactly as follows. It's not the end of the world, but if anyone has any suggestions/a resolution, please let me know. Thank you.
It does work, but for some reason my HUD is blurry now. I don't know if that's something the combination messes with or just an setup issue from this mod. (I have it with both DOF and non-DOF)

And is the only difference between cinematic and realistic filmgrain, letterbox, and brightness?
thanks
