For those of you looking to edit armors and weapons yourself, I've uploaded a tutorial video for you all to watch. Happy modding!
If you have other mods installed that alter the same .xml files that I've edited, make sure you take the time and use the newest version of ScriptMerger to carefully merge each .xml file.
Awesome, so glad I could find a mod that brings Iris in-line with Grandmaster swords without giving it ridiculous god-tier stats. Thanks for making this.
how do you add a stat to a weapon or armor or crossbow? you seem to miss that out on your video? and how exactly do you locate the items you want to edit?
how do you stop iris from taking your health when releasing the red flash? please tell us?
You're going to have to do a lot of inferring on your part to find the particular weapon or armor you're wanting to find. Depending on what you're looking for... if it's a weapon, it could be in def_item_crafting_weapons.xml or even def_item_weapons.xml if it's craftable or not. Iris was easy to find because of how unique it was. In order to add an ability to a weapon or armor, you must add the effect to the weapon. A easy way to do that is to copy an ability from another weapon and paste it. For example, you would copy "<spell_power_yrden type="multi" min-"0.10" />" from Crafted Ofir Armor _Stats located in def_item_crafting_armor.xml and paste that line under "<poison_resistance_perc type="base" min="0.5" />" for "EP1 WItcher Armor Stats"
This effectively gives yrden a boost now when wearing the viper armor chest now. As for disabling Iris taking your health... I believe that's part of the set bonus so you'd have to get rid of the set bonus to remove it.
Gosh, I hadn't played that save in some time. I loaded it up to look for some hints as to how I got the trophy, but I couldn't find any. The good news is that I just got to Toussaint in a new save, so soon enough I should find out where I got it.
Edit: It's for completing the quest Knight for Hire.
