Version 0.8.0 adds effects mode, dialogset presets and reworked camera handling, see changelog for all updates.
Version 0.7.1 is an update with the complete content from both expansions.
I manually checked and cleaned the complete list of actors and every entry should now spawn a working actor (some may be underground or the first appearance may be invisible!). The list of items is NOT checked - there are just too damn many. Only some semi-automatic cleanup was made - there may still be some entries which spawn nothing at all.
The cleanups and re-categorization of animations MAY break some existing storyboards. Just reassign the same actors/animations again.
I also added all voicelines from some of the main characters from the expansions to the voice line mode. A complete list of all lines filtered by actor tags is available in the download section.
In the forum section of the mod is a thread with frequently asked questions + answers, possible workarounds and some how-tos.
Before posting a question that is already covered please make sure to read the FAQ. But don't hesitate to ask if it is not covered. Post your questions either here or in the FAQ thread.
I've seen some very nice screenshots and videos here and there on the web. Feel free to post your best ones as showcases for this mod, too! Either as user images or shared videos. As long as I don't get spammed I'll unlock them :)
You can add a video in the general nexus videos section and tag it with the Storyboard UI mod. Afterwards it will be visible in this mods video-share.
??WHAT TO DO IF SBUI REFUSES TO WORK - HOTKEYS DON'T FUNCTION
?As of recently, I tried to use SBUI for the first time and it absolutely refused to work for me. No matter what I did it wouldn't work. The SBUI menu would appear after tying "sbui " into the console, but it wouldn't respond to any hotkeys. When I pressed 1 Geralt drew his sword and I was just stuck with the menu overlay, the only way to remove it being to restart the game.
?This problem was imperturbable, nothing I did would fix it. While I can't for certain tell you what exactly was going wrong, I can fairly guess what it was: As a noob modder the various incorrect installations and attempts at fixing issues had created various minor chinks in the game that in some way prevented SBUI from functioning.
HOW TO FIX THIS
??The only solution for this (that I have found) is a complete, fresh reinstallation. I also suggest deleting your "mods " and "dlc " folders before uninstalling your game to ensure your mods are well and truly gone (I don't know if this actually does anything but I like to do it anyway).
Once your game is reinstalled download SBUI and its dependencies.
Note: your game directory (if you use Steam) can be accessed by opening Steam, right-clicking the game in the library menu, hover over manage, then click Browse Local Files. The folder is The Witcher 3. (If you frequently mod games I suggest making a shortcut to the Common folder on your desktop.) Note: If there is ever a pop-up asking if you want to replace files while installing your mods choose "yes."
Drag both dlc and mods folders from modBootstrap-v.0.4.1into the game directory.
Within modBootstrap-v.0.4.1/mods/modBootstrap you will find "modBootstrap.input." Open it and copy everything inside, then go to Documents/The Witcher 3 and open "input" and paste everything at the bottom, then save.
Within modStoryboardUI-v0.8.0/mods/modStoryboardUi you'll find "modStoryboardUi.input." Open it and copy everything inside, then go to Documents/The Witcher 3 and open "input" and paste everything at the bottom, then save.
I have problem with hotkeys. I tried to reinstall the game many times. Did everything according to instructions. I even tried NingNomaNingNong guide for installation. Hotkeys still doesn't work. If anyone can tell me what can help, it would be nice. Maybe I'm uninstalling the game incorrectly? Is there a guide on how to do this completely on gog?
I'm having a problem where SBUI runs, but the keys are activating character actions rather than SBUI actions. For example, pressing 2 results in drawing the sword rather than switching to camera mode. The character remains frozen in place, but the swords float around, signs get cast, enter opens the game menu, etc. I've never had this problem before, and I'm not sure if a game update is causing it or something else on my end. I love this mod, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! Had issues for some reason installing it on 4.04 but I clean installed using WubwayW's stickied comment step-by-step installation guide and it works perfectly now.
For the life of me I couldn't get this to work with next gen, even with the next gen bootstrap and shared imports. But, it works wonderfully with 1.32!! I had a lot of fun.
Hello! This mod is pretty amazing. I was wondering whether it would be possible to make it compatible with Doppler Reborn? Currently both of them seem to be in conflict (the "player" asset doesn't appear and there are scale problems)
As far as I know the published version should work with this version. If not you'll have to post the error. And may want to join the radish tools discord to get some help (see link from the radish tools nexusmods page).
SBUI *should* contain all actor templates from classic game that are visible if spawned. It took me some time to filter the complete template list by hand. However it's possible I accidentally removed a working one. It's also possible a specific actor appearance is only one of multiple appearances from a template with a different default appearance (the one that is spawned on adding an actor).
Thank you for the mod! It's great Is there a way to add a list of next-gen appearances to the list? Or any other appearances. Like I would like to add appearance from some mod to the list, Geralt has
All appearances of an actor entity are automatically detected can be toggled via hotkey. This should also include added appearances from custom dlcs. However new templates added by other mods cannot be spawned without manually making them known in sbui (scripts).

All you need is:
A fresh install of The Witcher 3
Open the game once/exit so the folders are all there
Set to DirectX11
Swap out the folder in this link with yours. Screenshots provided where they all are. Some instructions on how to use Sbui as well.
Noob and tism friendly.

Now this works for clean install. How it reacts to mods you already have is your gamble. But i suggest adding them one at a time afterwards. lol
I checked all categories but cannot find Countess Mignole from HoS Auction House quest. Does anyone know which category she is in?
Thanks! :)
