Thanks for this mod, it is really better to have potions last longer than in the base game.
I have some conflicts with BiA, I think that your mod should have priority, but can you confirm this please?
Also, if I can suggest a little improvement, instead of having multiple downloadable files, it would probably be better to have an in-game configuration menu and set individua preferences there.
I'm not sure what BiA is and I'm currently not playing W3. I believe with some of the tools/utilities available you can check for conflicts and merge conflicting files. If both mods are making an edit that's actually conflicting then you might want to allow mine, but just use your best judgement.
Making an in-game configuration sounds nice but I wouldn't even know where to begin when it comes to the thousands of files this game has. I'm not even sure when or if I plan to play it again. Best of luck!
Just trying to get back to the game after the next-gen update, stumbled on this mod and looks great! Just some questions tho before I actually try it (still modding the game LOL): What is the vanilla toxicity drop rate? Kinda want to see the comparison like you did for item durations And also does the adjusted rate work with meditation and related skills? Thank you for updating the mod to next-gen!
Toxicity decreases at about roughly 1/5, to 1/10 the speed it does in the base game. That depends on which version of the mod you're using, W2PL or W2PLE. There are 3 upgrades to every potion, that's why I have the potion length listed as 5-10 minutes Base 5 min, upgraded 7.5 min, and final upgrade length 10 min. Potion effects are lowered to account for the increase in their length. Skills and/or mutations will alter their effects. I don't remember meditation being a thing in W3, so if it is a mod, I'm not sure how well they'd play together. But, if you're proficient with the various tools on this site you can set which mod has priority, or even merge such conflicts if they exist.
I see Reinald's Philtre in the files so it should work. It looks to be a quest item, so I didn't make any changes to it.
After looking at the old files and the new ones, I see there was definitely an update to how Reinald's Philtre worked. Anyways, this shouldn't be an issue anymore.
thanks man but this does seem to glitch out the wolven hour potion vanilla it has 3 charges and meditating will refill it but now i only have 1 and no refills was this by your design or a mistake?
No, I didn't make any edits to the Wolven Hour potion. According to the Wiki it is a potion automatically given in a new game to be used only once. You can read about it here...
I see some people saying this does work for Next Gen and some saying it does not. The former's reasoning is that the effects of the mod are functioning. The latter's reasoning is that because of the files changed by the mod, it undoes the potion and/or food changes that Next Gen (patch 4.0) introduced. Dunno who is right. However, what I do know is that when I use the mod, it doesn't matter whether or not the changes are undone because the mod's effects are still there. So, at worst, it works like the mod undoes the Next Gen potion and food changes and then overwrites the pre-Next Gen state of those with the mod's own version. We still end up with the mod working and all the other Next Gen improvements working.
