Actually the ones that it comes with are pretty good just kinda sucks there are no rune slots btw I recommend NGP it's a bit more challenging which makes it all the more fun
One of my favorite armor sets in the game, thanks for this! Been playing around with the xml files for the stats and I'm glad it scales well since I'm already lvl 28
Yeah it helped thanks for that, I have no idea why they went with the checkered pants honestly XD, I mean I get the stripes since its made to look classy but those checkered pants haha... And they don't go well with the Nilfgaardian guard armor since I tried matching the two sets together since the guard version only has gauntlets and a chest plate .
Oh btw the crossbow file doesn't work no matter how much I try to force it for some reason, it always removes all the dlc crossbows from my inventory and when I go to the vendor to try and buy it from him he doesn't have it in stock. So aside from this all other files work.
Yes, it's supposed to work even if you have it in your inventory. Hmmm, did you place it in the correct DLC folder? It's supposed to be DLC 5 for the Armor and DLC 13 for the crossbow (on Steam).
Yeah, that's what I did and where I put it. I've noticed a bunch of mods haven't worked for me that work for everyone else lately, though, so it's probably something on my end. Wish I could figure out what

Yeah, I'm no computing or modding expert, unfortunately. Is your version the GOG version? Maybe run the file as admin? And make sure all the files in the mod are with the files that say blob.bundle and some other bundle file.
After reviewing the readme included in your INA file.................I see you mentioned that "we should keep in mind we might need to be level 24 to use it", or words to that effect. As the level threshold for the vanilla NA is 10................................what makes you think we might need to be level 24 for your version?
I've looked over the dlc5_items.xml file included in your mod..........................I did not see any level 24 requirement in that. Thanks!
Hi there Witcher 3 has this effect that makes it when you enhance an item (through the XML) it will automatically update the level requirements in-game. I noticed this effect in another mod that enhanced the starting gear, which made the Hunting Pants pants a level 23 requirement.
People are still trying to figure out how to alter this, since it's not mentioned in the XML file; it's an in-game calculation thing. I kept that in mind when 'buffing' the Nilfgaardian Armor, since I was level 24 I looked up the stats for Superiror Griffen Armor (which requires level 22-23) as a rough estimate. So if you're ever buffing a certain weapon/armor, try to use Witcher Gear as a way to estimate the level requirements needed for your item.
So, in short: It's an in-game calculation thing that is not mentioned in the XML. Hope that helps!
Gotcha. It's a coded, auto level thing, not an edit.I'm only 17, but I'll give it a try and see what happens. Thanks for the reply!
UPDATE: The armor ended up showing as level 21 in game for me.Guess I'll be waiting a bit...............picked up all the horse gear though.............nice buff for 'ol DickHead (my pet name for him after about the fifth time I got chased around him in circles by some REALLY angry monster or other--while all he did was neigh frantically). At least he looks sharp!
Well, what you can do to wear the armor earlier is : 1)Uninstall the mod if you have it installed 2)The armor should now be default and require Level 10. Wear the armor, then quit the game. 3)Install the mod that improves the armor. 4)Now the armor should say it requires Level 21, but since you have it equipped anyways, then it should still work. 5)Try not to unequip the armor unless you want to repeat the process.
I looked for the crossbow stats in the XML file, but they were not present. Very weird...
Edit: Okay, I did some research and found out that the Nilfgaardian Crossbow is in a separate DLC file. I added a mod that changes the crossbow to the image I uploaded. Let me know if it works! You may need to force the file.

What sort of stats would be appropriate?
Is it not working? o.o
And yeah, it's my favourite armor, too. The only thing that bothers me about it is the checkered pants, lol.

I've endorsed this mod!
1)Uninstall the mod if you have it installed

3)Install the mod that improves the armor.
