Improves the balancing of oils in The Witcher 3.

Permissions and credits
This mod aims to fix a problem with the game's oil system and it's overpoweredness as you upgrade. Specifically:

Green File

  • All oils provide a 10%/20%/30% increase in damage against their specific monster types down from 10%/25%/50%.
  • All oils now contain 30/45/60 charges up from 20/40/60 charges in order to maintain balance with the increased oil charges skill whilst actually letting you have some good use out of them if you aren't playing an alchemist role. 

This mod was made due to the lack of other balanced oil mods, where they either gave infinite charges (thereby negating the entire point of some of the skills) or made their effects so strong as to basically be overpowered instantly.

Purple File

  • All oils provide a 10%/20%/30% increase in damage against their specific monster types down from 10%/25%/50%.
  • All oils now contain 30/40/50 charges up from 20/40/60 charges in order to maintain balance with the increased oil charges skill whilst actually letting you have some good use out of them if you aren't playing an alchemist role. 

Blue FIle

Oils now have 30/40/50 charges instead of 20/40/60. Oils now provide 15%/30%/45% damage instead of 10%/25%/50%. Some people may feel the original changes are too harsh, and since I'm updating my mods, I decided to make some much needed changes. This will make base oils feel less lackluster, and will slightly nerf higher quality oils.

Orange File

  • All oils have 30/40/40 charges and provide 10%/20%/40% damage bonus to their specific monster types.
  • Version 2.0 oils have 20/30/30 charges and provide 20%/35%/50% damage bonus to their specific monster types.
