   Not bad... I wonder if you shouldn't have a toggle key available for when you're on foot, but need a quick glance? Of course, that'd be just like Friendly HUD, but obviously without all the extra stuff.

      Yeah, I just wanted some middle ground between turning off the minimap completely and having it always displayed. I like having it off most of the time, but found that I always want it on when I'm riding the horse.

   So I tried your mod and after uninstalling it, the minimap is now permanently disabled no matter what I do!
   
   How is this even possible???

      Huh that's weird... How did you uninstall it? I just tried uninstalling it by removing the folder modNoMinimapWhenOnFoot from my mods directory, and the minimap came back just fine.
