works on 1.32 FOR ANYONE TRYING TO GET IT WORKING WITH LOWER XP: 1. Unpack files to specified location 2. BEFORE using "InstallXP.bat" edit "InstallXP\gameplay\globals\exp_mods.csv"
add a "." before each number and replace them with value of choice (mine works with ".7;.5" - 0.7x for kills and 0.5x for quests)
delete last letters "s" from "Kills;Quests" so it looks like this: "Kill;Quest" - it is to keep the file size exactly the same (compensating for adding fullstops/periods/whateveryoucallthem next to values) (not tested if works with different characters, I think it should work though if it lets edit names at all)
3. MAKE SURE TO SAVE FILE
4. Run "InstallXP.bat"
5. IF it still doesn't apply the rates, try running "InstallXP.bat" by doubleclicking instead running as admin
Oh, and before I deleted 2 letters bat file asked me if I want to force merge and I did - the mod changed kills value but zero'ed quests value so with any problems I advise checking the spelling/filesize again. (don't use "0" before "." or delete more letters (?))
THANK YOU FOR THIS MOD WHICH WORKS WITHOUT STARTING NEW SAVE <3
It might be a good idea to include this in the main description.
This is the only xp modifying mod that is working for me, on version 1.32. But I want to reduce the amount of xp I get from quests, not increase it. How do I get this to work with floating point values? 0.5 and 0,5 won't work. Please help
Disregard the previous post, it DOES work with 0.5 Windows was just changing something during the saving process. I had to overwrite the file, but keep the original formatting (or something else) and then I got a message that the file size changed, after which I just deleted 2 letters from the first cell and run the install and everything works just fine. Thank you so much for this mod, I have been trying to get several other mods to work but none of them did. Finally I can start playing the game the way I want to.
Yeah I wanted to find this out too. Saw this linked from a steam thread on a mod to slow levelling, but coming here I realize its intended purpose was to do the opposite.
Might the values be changed to make levelling slower? And if so how? Any tips would be appreciated, I too wish to know this. Hopefully we get an answer.
