After installing this mod the game won't start..."
"the program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
The game was running fine without any problems before I applied this mod. I'm running the 1.05 patch on the GOG version of game.... PLEASE tell me why it's not working....
EDIT: it seems that if I remove the dsound.dll file from the x64 folder where the mod exe file is located then the game will start without any of the mods or console working... What is happening here?...
Since the dev seems to be busy and hasn't checked this forum since posting the v2 of this mod on June 12th, I had to go out and search on my own for a solution. Here's one that made it work for me...
If you're getting the dll error which won't let you start the game after installing this mod -
"the program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
First , delete the dsound.dll file which this mod placed into your GOG/witcher 3 wild hunt/bin/x64 folder, then go to microsoft and download the redistributable for visual c++ for your windows in the link below... mine's vcredist_x64.exe ...
Then run that exe and you should be able to start up witcher 3 with debug console enabled. (default button to open close console is ~) This should make this mod work!
I've tested all the number pad functions and got them to work but didn't try sweetfx, masterfx, or the other cosmetic mods since I don't use them. You can also use this link below to get the console commands for whatever else you want to do.
Also, if your debug console still doesn't open up after doing all the following steps and starting the game, and you have the 1.05 patch, then be sure to update/replace the debug-console-enabler.dll file in the GOG/witcher 3 wild hunt/bin/x64/plugins folder with one of the updated versions from one of the mods here....
I wish I had done this sooner rather than later honestly ... I thought I would put this up for others who must be just as equally frustrated as I was over this previously non-working mod.
I hope this saves you a lot of unnecessary frustration!! Enjoy the mod and the game! You're welcome btw XD
Thank you! I'm sorry I haven't been up-to-date on this. I just released my Batman Arkham Knight RM-Extraction program! The link for it is here: http://bit.ly/BatmanAKRM
The game starts just nicely now, but... It seems like the mods are still not working, I see nothing in the game, all tho I have the folders (weight, weather etc. And I have extracted quick BMS). Also the numpad cheats seem to work, somewhat.. I don't know if it is because the 9000 weight mod doesn't work that it isn't adding all the armors, pants, boots and swords, just a few low level ones. Also the presets are still not working, I think, seeing as it doesn't add any new files (the presets next to the sweet fx button). Currently tried the ''SS v1.1''.
Update: Checked inside the ''TirelessSteeds>Gameplay>Items'' folder, there's no files there.
Thanks Zewolfie. I will update it again tomorrow. Sorry for so many bugs as I was unawre of them! (I currently don't have beta testers for my program, I will address this opening in my next mods.) My next RM-Extraction will be for Batman Knight Rising when it comes out. As for the armor, swords, and boots, if you keep toggling it, it will generate all the items. However, their levels will be default. Check the preset settings in the SweetFX folder. Each one has the authors name in it per extraction. As for the mods, did you copy and paste the patch.bundle where the RM-Extraction is located? Thanks for pointing out these bugs to me, I will fix them promptly tomorrow.
No problem, I don't mind testing, seeing as you are giving us free mods But on your question about if I had copy/pasted the patch.bundle, yes I have Also, I checked the preset setting in the sweetfx folder, and it was a fault on my part, sorry ^_^'
I don't quite get this. Is it for people who don't know how to install individual mods? Or people who want to install a bunch of mods without selecting them themselves?
After using this and installing the stuff that came with it (sweetfx and a couple of the mods) I couldn't start the game. I kept getting 0xc000007b00 error. Had to reinstall the game :/
Update: Apparently there's a file called ''dsound.dll'' that keeps the game from starting and gives me that error. No idea what it is or does tho.
Update 2: Got it to start again after deleting dsound.dll, but using the ''cheats'' don't work as well as the presets wont really extract. Only thing that seems to work is extracting the sweetfx, but not the preset. As well as the mods do not work, and when I try to uninstall, I get errors saying those certain paths don't exist.
Sorry you are having troubles. I will have to update the dsound.dll since it seems the one I am using isn't compatible. As for the SweetFX not loading the presets correctly, I will look into this tomorrow. If I find any errors or bugs on my part I will fix this as well tomorrow. Thanks!
