Great mod, works fine on newest NG version (only tested the "modExtendedViewDistanceNonAO"). Although i think everyone should try the Fog and DOF tweaker NEXT-GEN UPDATE which does the same thing but you can tweak it in-game to your liking.
Careful installing this, my clouds are basically black during dusk and night now. Even with the mod uninstalled. I can't figure out how to fix it either.
Wish there was a version with mild fog. The skies colours intensify too much without the fog but the vanilla game view distance is shocking for next gen....
I think the one I'm using also still works in Next Gen, the modExtendedViewDistance. Maybe the far distant trees don't look great but I'd rather not have the distant fog in vanilla NG or the optional fog mods of Extended View Distance.
But for those who have a 4090 video card maybe the game is playable with one of those uber detail mods that sharpen up the trees & other vegetation way in the distance.
The NonAO mod (modExtendedViewDistanceNonAO) really does look so much better just about everywhere, close, mid and far distance. That's probably because the shadows are working now. . I play games mostly for the graphics so I'll be busy re-exploring areas to see the visual improvement.
I realize AO is still in the game but it's the vanilla AO in the ray tracing of Next Gen. So should we avoid using the modExtendedViewDistance mod with its built in AO? Also have you tried the Clear Lighting in Toussaint mod with the modExtendedViewDistanceNonAO mod? Both mods seem compatible with each other. Clear Lighting in Toussaint removes the yellow tint from Toussaint.
I would love modExtendedViewDistanceAlt with no changes to water. With my personal ReShade, the waters just look super unrealistic with this mod's changes. It reminds me of Nuka Cola Quantum water from Fallout 4.
Sadly the cloudy weather (WT_Mid_Clouds_Dark) in Velen/Novi is completely broken, there's nothing but ugly pitch blackness in the midground and background.

Hi, will this also remove the horrendous "blue" fog from interiors? I never understood the point of this, it's just awful.
'modExtendedViewDistanceNonAO'

'NonAO' mod must be used. Otherwise the shadows will be broken!
