Alright, this is kinda Ironic but this is why I love this modding community, so I couldn't wait long enough so I made the changes to the scripts by myself and updated the mod for version 1.22. the author of this mod or the original mod can host them here if they want. Of course, all credits goes to the original modder who made this mod, which is Skacikpl. so please go and endorse his mod while you are at it and all the codes are his. I just added them to the new script. it also contains a fix made by the user EMGin in the comment section of the original mod which fixed a bug that after dialog cutscenes camera controlled lookmode stops working. I never noticed any issue but I added the code and tested it and it works and didn't hurt anything so it wouldn't hurt adding a fix to the whole thing for those of you who would have had the bug so here you go please go thank him as well:
basic instructions: drop the moda-FaceThem folder into the mod folder and then run script merger and merge any conflicts you have. run the game.
with my initial testing, everything worked perfectly. of course, you can change the face settings if you open the script file line 16 change default lookmode = to 1, 2 or 3 or use console codes setlookmode( ) and the numbers inside the parenthesis if you have the debug console. of course, a value of zero in the file or in console disables the mod. make sure to set that up. default is at 3 meaning its camera controlled which is my preference. also, it merges perfectly with friendly hud using script merger in my testing.
Again All Credits go to Skacikpl for the original creation of this mod and EMGin for that one line that fixes the bug. I will remove the link at the request of Skacikpl if he demands it. But until then enjoy.
Alright, I managed to tweak the code to make it mergeable with Spawn Companion but just a note ONLY USE THIS MOD IF YOU ARE USING SpawnCompanion. otherwise use the normal version. in conflict window right click choose and face them then right click again on the same spot and choose spawn companion so it should be B and C and it should resolve the conflict between these two mods:
this just fixes conflict with spawn companion and it needs this mod. hope this helps and happy group hunting
Also, a Fyi, hate to break it to you but there is now a new mod that you can do 3 companions : http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1720/? don't know if my fix will work with this one but try it and report back if you are going to use this mod
What are the instructions? The original file wit instructions is gone. Do I just put it in mods and that's all or do I have to add something to an .ini?
The mod works fine for me but there's a slight 'error' that I'd like to get help with.
Let me explain. The head doesn't turn as much to the right as it does the left.
Try it by sitting on a horse and looking left and right, you'll see that he turns his head much more to the left than he does the right. This wouldn't be a problem if his head stayed turned. but it doesn't, it snaps back to facing forward. it seems the mod authour might have balanced it in correctly.
I've tried looking at the file but can't find anything that would relate to this.
Can somebody who understands scripts help with this please?
I know it's a very minor issue, but i think it might be able to be sorted just as easily. (maybe by just changing some numbers?) I dont want a lot of help just point me to the area that needs correcting and i'll edit my own 'ini'/
I got this mod to work on 1.31 steam but it stops working as soon as I enter/leave a shop or a conversation (I'm using it with option 3 in the ini, which means the head will look where ever i turn my pad to).
The only thing that'll get it working again is reloading a save.
This is ALMOST a great mod, but I can't stand those micro jitters on Geralt's head when he walks past people that are just out of range to trigger him actually looking at them.
Awesome mod, but Geralt turns his head too much. Is there a way to minimize that effect? I would say performing at least 1/2 or 1/3 of the current head rotation would make it much more realistic.

Edit: already did it myself. go down a few replies for a link to it.

And when I go to merge it, it gives me one unresolved conflict.
Think you could look into it again?
Thanks.
