About this mod

This little Mod enables Fake GI in Witcher 3! Thanks to the MXAO coded by Marty McFly it's now possible to use AO calculations for GI. I just did the config, that works fast and looks nice. Have fun!

News:

5.6 - Tested with Blood and Wine. All fine, but loading time is still one minute.

19.5 - Found a Bug in Reshade 1&2 that causes extreme loading times after installed the DLC "Heats of Stone". Can't fix it. It a Reshade problem.

1.5 - New Version 3 Released.
Takes only about 10% FPS! (extremly optimized) and is probably the last version. Hope you like it. I recommend to set desktop colours to 30% in nv/amd panel!

28.4 - Due trolls, the title has been changed.

27.4 - V2 uploaded!
Better, artifact free and more details on smaller objects! 1/3 better quality, same performance! The GI effect is a little stronger in this version. I recommend to set colours to 30% in nv/amd panel. It look so much more natural and better then (even vanilla).

Info:

This version calculates only GI, so it's made to use it with ingame SSAO or HBAO+. (IT DOESN'T FLICKER!! AND COSTS ONLY ABOUT 10% FPS V3)

How to install:
Install a Version of Reshade 1 or 2  (http://reshade.me/) with dxgi.dll in Witcher 3 Directory (eg. C:\Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64)

Copy my ReShade.fx and bayer16x16.png inside the RAR to the game directory (\bin\x64) and overwrite the original one from Reshade. Press "Numlock 5" ingame to switch the effect on or off. Have Fun!

The Quality of rendering the GI is hardly depending on the ingame resolution. This works best for 2560x1440(1600,1280). 1920x1080 can show a odd
changes in colouring of grass patches.

WARNING, I had a hard time to find the right Settings, there is a lot of strange effects, just changeing one value. And it can look bad, flicker more and eat up all your performance.
