Pretty easy to do yourself. (5-6min) 1) Open notepad++ (Download free if you haven't) 2) Go to "plugins", "plugins admin", type "compare", install it (top right corner) 3) Download this mod and open the r4player.ws inside 3) Open the r4player.ws used by your game : Vanilla : ~The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\player\r4player.ws OR Modded : ~The Witcher 3\Mods\mod0000_MergedFiles\content\scripts\game\player\r4player.ws 4) Now you have the two r4player.ws so let's work a little (2-3min). Go to "Plugins", "Compare", "Compare" 5) You just have to scroll the left windows (this mod) an find the /* and */ (before and past few lines) and, copy them on the right window (Yours) 6) Save your r4player.ws (the right) and close. 7) Enjoy !
If it's too diffcult, i can update the mod and post it on nexus.
Any chance you could make this mod for Witcher 2 as well? The combat taunts drove me crazy on my last playthrough. I had to kept reloading during the dragon fight because Geralt kept calling Saskia ugly or stinky all the time.
I'm probably out of place for asking but I would be so stoked if you made a mod to remove the spitting and farting noises that peasants make. I spent a good hour and a half trying to do it myself but I'm not getting anywhere.
Sorry, I looked into that long ago and couldn't find any calls for it in the scripts. :/ We never got the proper mod tools for this game (unlike with Witcher 2).
Here's a mod idea : replace all of Geralt text comments, and some of the weird npc talks like "At your service sir" when they should be saying "Hey there's the freak of nature !".
*/if playbattlecry " stuffs are modified by you? I don't see any comments in the code, so am I right? This noob is trying to merge bunch of scripts together manually, lol
I wanted to extend my apologies the mod author, whose works I hosted on the 1.30 project update page. I have removed all works from the downloads area and transferred them to a dropbox mirror located at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f53hcpgmz3nj6cb/AABPShv2ljfyTkBnPz6QPeo4a?dl=0. This is where you can find my version of the 1.30 update until the author is able to get an official one put out. Again, I never intended to infringe on the rights of the creators and I apologize.
No worries. I didn't find out about the Game of the Year update for a few days, but as of September 2 my official version of this mod for 1.31 has been available here. I skipped 1.30 as I did not know about it--I guess you were filling in the gaps. Plenty of people have moved on from TW3, so many mods will not be officially updated--I appreciate your work, even if you should have asked permission first.
So, Geralt's doing a good job annoying me again, with his new "Nice tune!" in Beauclair, even when there is no musicians around. Any idea in which file this voiceset is located?
Ugh, I haven't delved into Blood and Wine yet, but I can already tell that is going to bother me, too (and also the buzzing insects someone else has just alerted me to). I searched through scripts last night for this (and the insects), skimming the scripts I thought might be relevant and doing plain text searches for terms I thought might refer to such commentary, but came up with nothing. :/ I wish we could repack soundbanks so this garbage could be overwritten with dead air, but alas that isn't possible...
Yeah, I also skimmed through scripts and didn't find anything. Might be stuck with these. But mosquitoes weren't not that annoying for me. They're only in swamps, and there aren't that many swamps in the new areas. Might need to turn down the speakers, though, when they start buzzing.
Isn't it funny how making this game better often consists of simply disabling things the developers felt they just had to include? Good to hear you don't find the insects to be too annoying, though.
Heh, true. A good part of my mods are the ones that just comment out something that's been done on purpose. Inability to jump while in shallow water and sprinting while in Witcher Senses, first to come to mind. Well, it's not like they made annoying things on purpose. There was probably some thought process behind everything. And the game is amazing even without the mods, but when you start modding, you can't stop, there are so many annoying things to fix or improve. I literally wouldn't be able to play vanilla at all anymore, even though I enjoyed it thoroughly when I first played last May without a single mod.
Danke! Sir Ralph for this perfect mod! I'm Irish, blond hair, blue eyes and I love stormy skys, for I'm a sailor true and blue to the bone! A sailor does not like calm weather! It never made since to hear a blond or white haired witcher complain about the beautiful stormy weather! Cheers to Ralph! :> BTW it's so nice to feel calm during the storms! :> ENDORSED!!!
