This mod used to work an 4.04 but now on 4.04a(RedkitUpdate) for some bizarre reason it overwrites a lot of the basic shirts in the game and actually breaks the ''Imperial Audience'' quest when you have to get dressed to advance.
So, i combined this and the one from SOTR So, basically, we got the pants, gloves, boots & the chest w/o belt/book, etc
UPDATE found out that how i did it originally was stupid, so here's the corrected version https://mega.nz/#!oshSTRpD!qG4Ms6tN_BJ5XN3FhDMknM1ohK9I0F7ckN8o1MUL9Bo
Now everything are from TW2 gear (so meshes, textures) except for the belts, which are from SOTR.
(dont mind the name, it's just fun)
EDIT same as above, except boots are vanilla (didnt test it though) https://mega.nz/#!49ZlTRyI!8Eir9Lae7SJoguG_sif3P2B2vosGSIeOkey2Uo4d2CA
Thank you so much for this!! I love the armors, boots, pants, etc, but I don't like the book/belt thing on all the armors. SOTR is good for the armors, but it lacks the other cool stuff. This is the best of both worlds! I tried it out and it works great! Thank you so much for sharing!
I love you man. Well, not you specifically, I don't even know you. But your mod is absolutely brilliant.
I cannot recommend this mod enough for people who, like me, are really into aesthetics and making sure that our avatars look as fierce and fabulous as possible, all the time baby! It's a nice spin on the Witcher 2 mod by Holgar. Cheers for uploading it!
Though maybe you should consider uploading it to the Nexus? Can imagine it's kind of hard to find on Mega.
could you please do a version without the boots modifications?? the creator doesn't seem to read or care about requests or even to answer to questions...
@valas991: first that all thanks for improve this mod, it's awesome to play with TW2 textures. And a question, are you planning to fix the Mahakaman Heavy Armor and Mag Deira Cuirass? Because they're not working since patch 1.24 and it would be great.
valas991 , Thanks for your update of this mod. Combined with "leveling witcher and relics updated" mod I use, those ugly albeit lore-friendly armors transform into gorgeous witcher 2 style armors. More importantly, I can finally wear them cause they upscale with my level. Like other people said, I think it would be really helpful if you post your update version to the new mod.
This is awesome, but there's a few armors without any belts at all so the swords look kinda weird being attached to nothing. Would you mind looking into it?
hey sorry to bother and i know it's kind of late but is it possible to make a version to just replace the one starting leather jacket from W2 cause thats all i want i don't really want every armor from TW2 just the starting one thanks
Dude, this is beyond amazing. Tanh you so much for your work. If it's no trouble, could you please consider making a version with the vanilla belts? I jsut think they are simple and fit well enough. Thanks a lot!
Just a humble request, please bro give us an updated and fixed version of W2 Gear... A lot of people would love that...
Here are some issues with it;
- Angrenian, Mahakaman and Mag Dierra armor have new icons but vanilla textures.. (There are one or two more I dont know the name). - Two Nilfgaardian casual doublets during Vizima visit scene have the new armor textures for the armors above.
- Not necessary but maybe you could upscale the textures and tuck Geralts hair in the collar on some of them?
Please bro this is a must have mod. Thank you mate!! :)
A version that also uses eskel's belt on some armors would be nice. while playing with custom character mod... I'm hoping it would allow me to wear it on my armor under the misc. section
1.31 GOTY + Ghost Mode + Cavalry Armors Mode. When I first saw this mod, I didn't read it carefully and thought it was about adding armor from The Witcher 2. Now I've come across it again and I immediately installed and tried it. It's great, one of the best retextures I've used.
The original armor is often simply impossible to put on - it looks disgusting, and these gloves with stitched fingers, ugly chestplates, dirty shabby padded jackets. I understand that the hero is not rich, but does he really have to dress like a Romanian prostitute?
I want to point out a few details - there is no retexture of the Angren cuirass - suddenly a fan of it is crying somewhere - Nilfgaardian cuirasses also have a retexture, although if you are not a fan of walking around with speakers under your armpits - no problem - I would not load new icons, since I learned the old ones forever and I am too lazy to learn new ones, they look worse and I heard the game bugs before the dialogue.
Thank you for your mod, I am very impressed. Now fall at the author's feet and pray that he will retexture the Toissaint oars (swords) based on the 2nd Witcher.
For some reason the artstyle of the second game looks the best and most unique, I feel they toned it down a lot in Witcher 3... most of the regular armors look very bland and basic, only the witcher school gear is interesting, yet still not as good as the armors in Witcher 2.
Great mod, beautiful textures! Though, would it be possible to make it compatible with W3EER for Next-Gen? Sometimes armours just look like vanilla because of some changes made by W3EER, which also leads to the crash (but maybe it's because of Killing Monsters Appearance mod) So, any way to make these three compatible?
