I want somebody to remove the undercoat of the grandmaster version and perhaps remove the spikes on the gauntlets as well. Because right now IMO the grandmaster version looks... hideous.
Oh yesss that`s a great one! It is dark and witchery, but not just some dark black mass without contours and contrast and details, no it`s the opposite - it brings out all the details, the spikes on the armor and the gauntlets, even the boots look awesome now and have some polished steel shin-bone protection!
I hope you repaint the other Tiers in the same quality some day, because when Geralt is not fighting and only going for walks, he is wearing lighter armours (Level 1 Cat mostly, or in this repaint quality like you do, from now on Level 1 Wolf mostly).
You probably have reached the limit of texture mod...sincerly I hate this limit, since it slow the loading time and when you pass it you'll get...well...that...but luckily you can merge all your texture mods togheter with modkitchen look here: there's a tutorial http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/60760-Limit-of-texture-mods/page2
No, i never use two or more mods that edits the same items. Here is the error list, i have no idea about those things, if you know, could you help me with this? Try this method: create a folder where you want called "Armor", then create two folders called "modArmor" and "Uncooked" inside "Armor"...put all your texture mods inside "modArmor", and with modkitchen uncook the files from "modArmor" into "Uncooked" (now you should have all your modified texture files inside "Uncooked")...then create a batch file called "cook_and_pack.bat" that looks like this:
cd /d D:\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Witcher 3 Mod Tools\bin\x64
...naturally you'll have to modifie these lines with the directory you have created...in my case, I have put the folder Uncooked inside "D:\Witcher3Modding\Mods\Armors\"...then run the batch file and you should have merged correctly your mods...just put the new "modArmor" into your mod folder if this doesn't work, well, I don't know anything else, but I hope it works
Trying to Uncook the files, but with ModKitchen i'm getting those errors, with ModKit GUI it does lot get the game directory, a problem with spaces. Is there a way to uncook those files like the "cook_and_pack.bat" method you mentioned?
Yes, to uncook the files try to use the batch file used in this video, you just have to change the directory, as usual...could you give me the list of the mod you're trying to merge? If I can I'll try to do something maybe some mod on the list changes some other files than textures and create some conflict with modkitchen

I did not see anything in the video about creating the batch file with uncooking lines, but i found from other topic the lines, i did the batch file with the dir i have the folders on desktop, but it fails always.. Edit: Anyway, i deleted few mods and now it works, i didn't know that the game has limit for mods :/
The main file "Dark and Shining Wolf Armor" has everything dark except undershirt and the optional file "Alt. Version - Dark Undershirt - no pants retexture" has everything dark with undershirt but now the pants are not dark? oO If so, could you please do an optional "Alt. Version - Dark Undershirt" which has dark pants with black scabbards and black sword hilts? Please :D

I honestly think that more shininess is actually opposite of "dark and witcherish armor feeling". No offence. Erasing all steel/chainmal parts from the armor - that would slow any witcher down - would be closer to the books vision of Geralt's wardrobe. So it's not a matter of how shiny his armor is, or how dark it is coloured. So I guess you missed the point.
Now - apart from your explanation - it's a good retexture, so nice work.
Well, it's a different vision I always imagined an ideal geralt's armor as a light dark leather armor with silver details, like spikes and studs, so this is my version of an ideal witcher armor ..and I also like the chainmail a lot, since it gives a good amount of contrast so..."de gustibus non disputandum est"

Mixed textures issue, only happens to me on every wolf armor mod. :(
