Mod now compatible with Bootstrap! Hey everyone, happy to announce that my mod is now compatible with Bootstrap (many thanks to rmemr and erxv!)
Boostrap in a nutshell: Boostrap is a great utility by fellow member rmemr, providing a standard way to start/loadup simple script mods like mine without modifying vanilla scripts!
Advantages for you: - less incompatibilities, as my mod no longer modifies any vanilla scripts -> compatible with any mod now! - Bootstrap (at the date of writing this) modifies one single vanilla script (player.ws), but it's easier to merge than my own mod was in the past! - my mod itself works for any game version now! (you only need to get the correct version of Bootstrap for your game version)
Instructions: Head over to the "News" section of the Description page to see detailed installation instructions. If you gor any further questions, feel free to ask.
Happy witchering, everyone!
P.S.: Many thanks to erxv for the suggestion, rmemr for providing Bootstrap and all the other great individuals on the real Witcher 3 discord
EDIT: MISSING FILES UPLOADED So sorry guys and girls, for omitting the DLC folder in my original upload. I was quite busy with work for the last couple of days and only realized this now. It should work for everyone just fine now. Again, I'm sorry for any inconveniences, this was my first ever DLC mod^^. I really hope you can enjoy this new version now and many thanks for your continued support and the many nice comments!
Mod updated for game version 1.31! I just uploaded the new version of my mod fully compatible with the current game version 1.31. As always, I strongly recommend to do the following before installing my mod: - Backup you existing "GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods" folder to some different place and then delete it from the above location. This will make sure you have no other mods installed that might conflict with mine. - Install my mod by following the description on the mod's main page - Now load up your game and travel to Skellige and you should see the volumetric clouds around you - Finally you may copy back your previously backed up mod folder to "GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods". Note: I strongly suggest to add back your previous mods one by one and boot up the game after adding back any (script based) mod to ensure it doesn't introduce any incompatibilities. Also, it is best to run Script Merger at least once you’ve added back all your other mods. It can be found here:
Now have a wonderful time enjoying many more hours of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
I am trying this method as you mentioned above because i had 12 mods already in my folder, so i removed them all and put only yours... still i got this script comiplation error:

Its the same error i got before all mods installed, and later keeping only your mod alone!! Help Plz??
I talked to CAPA, the author of "Skellige Ice Breath", and created a merged playerWitcher.ws file which solves all conflicts between his mod and mine. You can find it as an optional download in the "Files" section of my mod.
How to install
The folder "mergedPlayerWitcher" you obtain after extracting the downloaded archive contains a merged "playerWitcher.ws" file for IceBreath and Volumetric clouds over Skellige.
Steps:
1) Install both mods: a) Get "Ice Breath Script v2.0" from here: IceBreath (Make sure to install Script version ONLY for now) b) Install my mod "Volumetric clouds over Skellige".
2) After installing you should have two new folders in your Witcher 3 "GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods" folder: "modVolumetricClouds" and "modIceBreath"
3) Both mods will have a subfolder structure as follows: "content\scripts\game\player\playerWitcher.ws" Delete both "playerWitcher.ws" files in each of the two mod folders
4) Finally, copy the merged "playerWitcher.ws" you just downloaded into either "modVolumetricClouds\content\scripts\game\player\" or "modIceBreath\content\scripts\game\player\"
IMPORTANT: Copy the merged playerWitcher.ws only into ONE of the mod folders. It doesn't matter which one
I hope this solves any difficulties in running both mods together. And remember this only merges these two mods, so if you have many more mods installed you might run into conflicts with those other mods. Should that be the case I kindly suggest to install and use Witcher Script Merger. and refer to Gopher's excellent video tutorial on how to use it.
Now have lots of fun playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Sorry, forgot to mention it's 1.12.1 only. I added that info to the file. And I'm happy you could get everything to work, now have lots of fun enjoying the game
Does anyone know of any cloud mods that work alongside this one? Seems that I can only have one cloud mod at a time but If I use this mod then all other regions besides Skellige get reverted back to vanilla clouds
oh ok, thank you, didn't know ! should I disable/delete the mod or is it just useless as is ? I have a bunch of mods and I don't want to fiddle with them anymore unless it's absolutely necessary
I'm confused as hell with this mod. I need to know what I need to copy in /mods. Do I put the "modBootstrap" inside there or what? BE SPECIFIC MAKE A VIDEO OF THIS BECAUSE THE DAMN MODBOOTSTRAPP s#*!
works perfectly with no conflicts thanks to bootstrap on 1.32 (I got tons of mods like 4k clouds, STLM, Ice breath, skellige weather system...) Only follow the bootstrap instructions and you'll be fine. To get the mods_registry.ws file which is now missing from bootstrap registry: download the regular bootstrap registry after installing bootstrap scripthooked to your mods folder and dlc folder, then copy contents of regular bootstrap registry into folder of bootstrap scripthooked.
When using with Skellige Winter Weather mod, during a saturated sunset, volumetric clouds gain a weird yellow-greenish colour: https://imgur.com/a/jxbCuvn? Would be great to have a compatibility patch!
Man those clouds seem absolutely perfect for Skellige Can anyone tell me if this mod works along with other clouds mods?? Of course they are incompatible, but if I give priority to this one will the volumetric clouds appear in Skellige and the clouds of the other mod in the rest of the regions?? I mean with these clouds in Skellige the other regions will seem naked with vanilla clouds In any way great work mod author and very fitting
